Chapter Five
I couldn’t help but think about last night, recalling all the events over and over in my head. I had hoped for this response from Stacey in time, but I never expected so much so quickly! I kept having flashbacks of us together in the bedroom, it was amazing! I finally understood its appeal to seemingly everyone, though letting myself open up and get that close to another person made me more vulnerable, than I had ever allowed myself to become in my entire life. And the thought of this terrified me! Was I crazy? For not restraining her before I left today? Maybe so, but she didn’t hesitate in the slightest last night in torturing or killing those two boys! Nor, did she hesitate or flinch when we dissolved the body in battery acid, and she certainly at no point held back or showed any kind of remorse after we slept together. Nothing gave me any indication that she was putting on a show, to gain my trust. I honestly believe it was genuine.
Suddenly, slipping back into the moment I swerved the truck sharply. Back on track causing the rear tires to screech and slide just barely regaining control before I drove straight through the curve off the embankment into the river! I had gotten so caught up in my thoughts that I lost all attention to my driving; this whole situation with Stacey could be my demise. The distraction nearly got me caught, with Timothy and now almost caused me to wreck, I need to get my head back into the game.
Then suddenly, I saw lights in my rearview mirror! "Damn it! I don’t need this shit!!" I pulled over safely on the side of the road, looking in the mirror I noticed it was a Forest Service Ranger pulling me over. What the hell am I going to say? As she climbed out of the old Ford Bronco and started in my direction, she is going to want to know what I'm doing out here. This is going to cause so many problems for me, so many questions like a domino effect; I can’t let this play out! Come on Steven; think damn it; my adrenalin racing, my hands shaking, as she reached the back of my truck. I shifted into drive and hit the gas, cranking the steering wheel sharply to the left and peeling the tires and swinging the rear end of my truck around and roaching the tires off, leaving a cloud of white smoke as I tore off the opposite direction back towards the cabin. My adrenalin rushing even higher, breathing erratically and thinking to myself;" you stupid ass" what the hell are you doing! But it was too late! My actions were already in effect. I just have to think; what now; ok we are still out of town a long ways, far enough radio signal won’t reach town. This time of season the national forest service reduces the number of rangers to virtually nothing, so it’s good odds she is the only ranger on duty! With any luck at all so if I am correct she has no back up! I swerved off the main road and onto a narrow logging road flooring the gas pedal and tearing up it as fast as I could, bouncing around in the cab as I hit huge pot holes and narrowly sliding around corners kicking a rooster tail of dust and rocks behind me. This would force her to back off; a ways as the rocks would shatter her windshield and with all the dust visibility would be zero. I drove up the road about seven miles before slamming on the breaks, shifting into park and jumping out of the truck as fast as I could! Scrambling into the trees just out of sight as she pulled up behind the truck. She jumped out drawing her gun and moving towards the rear of the truck. As she passed me, I creped from behind the tree to behind her slowly, close enough to breathe on her neck as she spun around, swinging her service revolver with her as I blocked her wrist. Clutching it in my hand and striking her forearm, in a dragging motion with my fist towards her wrist, paralyzing the nerves in her arm and hand causing her to drop the gun! As she was not able to close her hand, I spun her arm towards me twirling her around so her back was against my chest; quickly as she screamed I wrapped my arm under hers and around the back of her neck! Then my other arm across her throat grasping my other forearm and placing her into a modified choke hold I had designed; cutting off both blood flow to the brain as well as oxygen if applied correctly and tight enough, you black out in a matter of a few seconds! And it can even snap the neck if applied tighter. As she drifted away slowly, I whispered in her ear. You should have minded your own business! Noticing her wedding ring, I loosened my grip slightly to keep her coherent for a moment. Asking if she had children she cried out yes! Please let me go! They are still little they need me! She promised to walk away and tell nobody; ever as urine began running down her leg. Still crying for me not to kill her, I thought for a moment; and decided this was a gift! I could use her to my benefit! I tightened my grip, whispering in her ear "I hope she kissed her husband and kids goodbye this morning", cause they will grow up never knowing what happened to their mommy and wife. Thinking that she abandoned them! I chuckled as she fell limp in my arms! I drug her to the cab of my truck and threw her body in, As I climbed into her Bronco and drove it into the trees, as far as I could out of sight from the road then returning to the truck I drove back to the cabin.
