I always thought life was a mystery, I never knew what I would do with mine. I've always dreamt to sing or draw but nothing ever went my way! You see on TV of all the celebrities who lives these 'perfect lives' but mines was not like that. I'd given anything to live a normal life!

I was just the ordinary girl you'll find in your school. I lived in a house, nothing special, I had great friends who I would spend hours talking to, and I was in love with one direction. Like I said the ordinary girl! My one dream was to meet one direction but there was a one in a billion chance that that person would be me:(

It was a typical Friday night and my best friends came round: Becca, Nat, Morgan, Bethany and Polly. We talked and talked until the early hours when we all drifted off to sleep. Well most of us... I couldn't sleep I had too much on my mind: School, boys, music, family anything I could possibly think of.

My head was pounding like it had been smashed into a wall, I felt clostophobic , like the walls were caving in around me. I heard my name being called over and over again, It felt unbearable. Then suddenly I opened my eyes expecting to see everyone sleeping. But I was wrong, I couldn't have been any different. I was there, the place where I had dreaded for years, I was on my deathbed, alone...

I was at the end of my life yet I was only 14 years old, something wasn't right. I heard people say they have had near death experiences and lived through them. But this felt to real, I cried and cried even though there were no tears on my cheeks. I looked beside and saw all the wires of blood, morphine and a drip. I saw my heart rate going lower and lower until it went into a single line, I felt my whole body being torn apart: my heart stopped, my lungs deflated and I was there, paralysed.

However, why could I still tell this story if I died there and then? With nobody to comfort be and tell me it was all going to be alright. It was because I didn't need telling I knew things would work out I feel it with the remaining parts of my body. I closed my eyes like it was going to be my last time but even then I didn't give up on hope; I thought that there could be a chance for me.

For what only felt like a few minutes I heard a noise. A door slid open, I fought so hard to open my eyes but it was too difficult. My hopes came true, I had made it! I was still alive... But why couldn't I see or move?

I felt confused. I heard Becca and Nat run up to my bedside and I heard the shakes in their voices. They must have been so scared for me! I wanted to tell them how much I loved them and I wanted to tell them I was alright. But I couldn't. I overheard the nurses telling their parents that I was in a coma and it wasn't likely I was going to make it, they put my life expectancy at a week maximum! Just the thought made me even more upset. I couldn't go through with it!

-Becca's POV

I remember the night it all happened, we were having such a good time. We all slept until we heard Sarah making noises and kept having fits. There was nothing we could do! So we called 999 and hoped for the best. Just to see you best friend being taken away from you in ambulance is the most upsetting thing that has ever happened to me. I ran and ran after the ambulance but it went into the distance.

I cried all that night and I told my Mum that I had to go to the hospital, I couldn't leave her on her own. I hate to see her ill. I don't know what I'd do without her!

When I came to visit her this morning I was told that she had gone into a coma. I thought that my life was over. I broke down into tears, she looked dead. Her face was blue and stone cold; I held her hand and me and Nat talked to her as if she was still there with us. But it wasn't the same, I had hope for her, I knew how strong she was. I whispered in her ear 'You can do this, for me, for all our friends, for our family and for one direction.' I could control my tears I loved her so much.
