Living with Alex was cool
it's been over two months now and it was as he said,we were like roommate's

I didn't even get to see him for weeks because of his numerous business trips

I was doing whatever I liked, going out with cassy and even getting to help my father with work
whenever Alex was around around,I'll keep to my room and see him only when necessary

We would exchange pleasantries like distant neighbors and eat meals in absolute silence
I usually cooked for both of us if he was around,which he rearly was

Sometimes I think he was trying to avoid me....were we going to live like this forever

so far,married life has been convenient

I just got back from my father's company for the day and was fixing dinner for myself when the butler came to tell me Alex was down with fever and he refused to take any drugs

"Where is he right now?

"In his room my lady

"Okay,can you please go get some drugs for him while I go check up on him, thank you......

I can't believe a grown ass man would neglect his health,now I have to play wife

His room was dark when I got in,why wouldn't he be sick,he was covered in a blanket and probably sleeping

What should I even do ahhh.....

"Alex,can you hear me

"Am still alive Victoria,can you go away my head hurts

"Then take some drugs and feel better

"Why are you acting nice

"Lolz am your wife,don't make me a widow,get up...

I helped him sit up with the help of a pillow,he looked pretty bad but still fine

"You are burning up,am going to get you cleaned up

I got cold water and used a towel to clean his face,arms and leg after which I went downstairs to finish making dinner for us
The butler came back with some drugs which he reluctantly took after eating

"Thanks for helping me out,I owe you one

"You sound like I helped you fix you car,how's the headache now

"It's fine,thank you

We sat in total silence for a while which was comforting because I wouldn't even know what to say to him,we weren't that close,to think we were inseparable before

"Am not used to people being in my space or taking care of my you know,he said breaking the silence

And I taught he was falling asleep

"Why,,you are the Duke, people are always at your beck and call

"That's different,there's hardly any genuine person in this world of ours

"Yeah,you are right

He was falling asleep and am sure he might not remember any of this tommorow,I helped him get in bed properly before going downstairs to get dinner for myself 

I wanted to go check on him again after eating but I decided against it because I didn't want to seem too caring and let him insinuate I had feelings for him

I take it back.... marriage life is hard
