Harry's P.O.V

Hermione and I were at a bridge. She was lecturing me about how I still haven't figured out the next clue of the Golden Egg yet.

"I'm sure Krum figured it out." I muttered.

"I wouldn't know. He doesn't talk about it." She responded.

"Do you think Cedric knows? And if he does, why hasn't Penny said a word to me yet? We haven't talked lately..." I was really depressed just thinking about it. The only time I get to see her is during meals and classes. But with the other schools here, it's so crowded!

"Penny wouldn't do that to you." Mione tried to comfort.

"Don't try, Mione. After what I said to her, I wouldn't blame her."

"Harry! I told you before. They are just friends. He won't be cruel to her."

"Yeah right!" I rolled my eyes.

"Then why has he been protective of her? If he truly didn't care for her well being, he wouldn't have threatened you to keep away from her due to the rumors. If you ask me, it's a relief to know he wouldn't hurt her. Don't you think so?"

As much as I hate the bloke, she is right. I just wish it didn't bother me so much!

Ron Hermione and I were in the library trying to figure out what the Second task is after I finally got a clue from a Poem I got from the Egg. All I know for certain is that I have to be underwater for an hour. How is that even possible?

Suddenly, I saw Penny coming towards us from the other side of the room. Seeing her, I got up fast. But I hit myself between the chair and the table. Causing me to lose my balance a bit.

"You alright?" Ron asked

"Shut up!" I whispered before Penny got close. "Penny!" I fell backwards and caught my chair from falling. Penny definitely saw this and smiled brightly.

"H-How are you?" I stuttered.

"Please tell me you're here to help us?" Ron whined.

"With more people, we can prepare Harry for tomorrow." Hermione determinedly said. Penny gave a guilty look.

"Actually, Prof Mcgonagall wants all of us, but Harry to come to her office." She said looking sorry at me. Hermione started piling some books together.

"We'll go ahead. Can you help Harry put away some books? I'll let Prof Mcgonagall know you're coming. Great!" Mione placed the books quickly in Penny's arms and grabbed Ron's sleeve, pulling him away with her. Leaving me alone with Penny. Mione sure enjoys planning things.

Penny started placing them back on the shelf one by one.

"Penny, you don't have to. You can go." I got up and grabbed some of the books in her arms.

"It's ok, Harry. I want to help." She sweetly said.

"But.... aren't you mad at me?" I hesitantly asked. She stopped and looked at me oddly.

"Why would I be mad?" Is she serious? Apparently so, she is still looking at me, waiting for my answer.

"For what I said at the Ball about you and Malfoy."

"Oh..." Was all she said and looked away. Focusing on the books instead. I mentally groan to myself. Now I've done it.

"Harry?" She looked back at me "Draco asked me to go with him as friends. I know you don't get along with him, but I do. Can you trust me?" I grabbed the books she had left and placed them back on the table. Then held her soft small hands in mine.

"Of course I trust you. It's him, the Slytherin, I don't trust. They are manipulative, sneaky-"

" They are also said to be intelligent and loyal, remember?" She smirked. She is spending too much time with Malfoy. The Worst part is, it looks good on her.

"He's a good friend. Besides, you are my best friend." She stated. I did feel a little better hearing that.

"Really? Me?" I asked. She nodded.

"Just don't tell Ron." We both laughed. Someone coughed. We turned and saw Pro Moody. I noticed my hands were still wrapped around her and quickly let go. Placing mine being my back.

I can feel my face getting warm.

"Sorry to disturb your moment. But Ms Diggory is needed at Prof Mcgonagall's office." Mad Eye Moody strictly said. He didn't sound sorry.

Penny waved goodbye to me with a smile and walked away. Moody however stayed eyeing me.

"Longbottom! Help Potter out."
