Ch 12

Harry's P.O.V

My friends and I decided to take a walk through the Dark Forest with Hagrid.

"I remember when I first met you all. Biggest bunch of misfits I've ever set my eyes on." Hagrid told us and we laughed.

"We're still misfits." Ron happily said.

"You more than others. Ron." Penny teased him. He pouted.

"Penny! How could you say that?"

"She's right, Ron. If anything, your the reason why she ends up in trouble." I added.

"Harry!" Ron whined as we laughed. Penny and I were walking a bit ahead of the group. I liked it though. It feels like it has been so long since we've been together like this.

"The important thing is, we still got each other. And Harry will soon be the youngest! Tri-Wizard champion there's ever been! Hooray!" Hagrid gleefully shouted. Ron and Mione went along with him. Then they started to sing the Hogwarts song. But before I could join in, my head was hurting again.

Penny must've notice and came by me, holding my hands in hers. Her soft touch was distracting me a bit.

"You alright, Harry?" She gently asked.

"Yeah." I tried to hold in a groan. "Just a headache I think." I responded. She took a look at my forehead.

"Maybe it's the mark again. We should head back." She suggested. It was too soon to go back.

"I'm fine Penny, really." No need for concern." But then the pain grew stronger. The pressure felt more powerful as I tried to move. I then tripped, but Penny managed to hold me back to balance myself.

"Harry, we need to get you back." She insisted. But I noticed there was a hat near me on the ground. It looked familiar.

I looked at the direction it must've come from and followed the path. I heard Penny calling for me, but I felt some type of force getting closer. I had to see where it led me. Eventually I found where the hat must've come from and the feeling on my head stopped as I saw a lifeless body from Mr Crouch.

"Harry, what's wrong-" Penny stopped and saw what I found. She screamed in horror. I quickly held her in my arms and turned her face away. She was clutching at my sweater, but I didn't mind.

The others heard her and came running.

"Penny! What happened?" Ron asked in a panic. Hagrid reached to us first and then saw what we saw.

"Oh no." Was all he could say when he saw Mr Crouch dead in the woods of Hogwarts.
