I was being dragged.

Dragged by the arm, followed by Inaya and Jannat into the room full of girls. There have been six days since my last encounter with Rabet and since then my mind has been a bit odd in places. I cannot settle in my thoughts. Things are not in their positions anymore.

I probably feel guilty because of the small tripping accident that resulted in him touching me. I was quite uncomfortable whenever I am reminded of it. I asked forgiveness from Allah probably a thousand times now because this was the first time a non-mahram had touched me.

It wasn't intended, I know. Yet, to get rid of the guilt in me I prayed Tahajjud late at night every day now.

The wedding hall, the people, the house, and my siblings were getting crazier as the date of the wedding was passing close.

I had responsibilities and a lot of weight on my shoulders. But an unnecessary thought bothered me here and there which clicked me off. I couldn't focus on anything.

I dodged my meeting with him often because I did not want to get his attention anymore. I felt his stare or his presence pricking me little by little.

The house was a mess. The elders had also started their shopping, which meant the wedding was drawing closer.

But throughout these dramas, I had to give my family and company equal time. At this point, My head was spinning because of the way everything was moving out of place and the limitation of time had not done me justice.

All my cousins were done with shopping and now they were concerned about mine. Which I was concerned about too. I had to get some new clothes for the wedding. The lehenga that I bought at one of my friend's weddings was short and tight.

I love traditional clothes but due to my business, I had to wear an abaya for the meetings or a normal full-coverage suit for the company.

And right now, the surprise of my family concerning my less clothing was remarkable.

As I was taken inside the room, my eyes turned to me. I glanced around lazily. My friends, my mom's friends, and my cousins were present. The jewels were scattered on the bed on top of a silk scarf. Clothes were scattered on the ground and a tailor was looking at me up and down.

She was wearing a flower-printed kameez and very dark lipstick. Her attention turned towards me and I could feel her disgust seeing me wear a suit.

"I think, these gold earrings will suit her." Inaya picked a few jhumkas and displayed them on my ear.

My hijab was taken off.

"Hey, what about these bangles?" Zainab squeezed my arms in excitement as if it was my wedding.

Ammu smiled at her. I turned towards her.

"Ammu, Amr Ekta meeting ache Khan Brothers er shathe."
"Ammu, I have a meeting with Khan Brothers."

"So? Is work the only thing that goes on in your head?" Ammu said and proceeded to rip my ears off with some heavy metal earrings.

"Whose size is this?" The tailor asked. She showed a long piece of silk to everyone.

It was Maroon and on it were black crystals, Designing the edge of the clothing with heavy beats, the sides were adorned in lush.

Before it could catch my attention, Rukhsar Khala snatched it from the tailor's hand. She smiled at it and started to ask my mom if she can take it. The tailor gave her the most irritated look ever. She looked like she wanted to leave immediately.

Maybe not many people had treated her this way. But from what I noticed, Rukhsar Khala and the tailor were both the same, irritating and posh.

two of the same kind of people can't stand each other.
