Jannat
Mr. Rashid has been nothing but the kindest and most generous person I have ever met in my entire life. My boss was a man. A father figure to me. The one who found me crying on the street on a rainy night while hugging my knees. Rather than walking away or showing pity towards a student having a hard time, he told me something that I still couldn't understand.
"The helpless attacks and the potent waits as the world is filled with every bit of monstrosity there could be, kid. Don't live to die."
I don't know from what perspective he said that but later on, when I settled my grief with him he offered me a job. He asked me to work for him. More like a waitress in the canteen of a multi-billion dollar company. To say that I was happy to receive such a job offer would be an understatement.
I happily received it and started working. But through the job, I didn't only gain reliable friends but also a father and a mother. How caring could they be of me? His wife was like a second mother to me and my parents were nice to them but inside they were quite jealous. I laughed every time they'd complain.
But something died inside of me when I heard that Mr. Rashed had an accident. In the brim of death.
At the hospital, his wife was crying uncontrollably, and no matter what I said she had given up hope after the doctor said that there was very little chance he'd wake up. He is in a coma.
"Calm down, aunty. Have faith. He'll be fine, In Sha Allah." I rubbed her back.
She whimpered while putting a hand on her mouth, "Only if he was here, he would've seen his father in that c-condition."
I sighed. She was talking about their son and only child who left his parents 5 years ago, Khalid Ibn Rashid. A man whose arrogance and looks were a topic for all the time in the company. I despised him so much.
How could a person be so careless about their parents? I saw them crying and waiting for him on occasions he should be attending. Whenever some people would expect his presence he'd always be absent. What is his problem?
"Abdullah, please inform him abroad about the condition of Rashed. He must come. Please." She said to her bodyguard as he left to do the work.
I smiled at her to assure her when she looked at me. She is expecting him. So am I. I hope he comes. At least this time when his father is on his deathbed. I don't know exactly the reason for his anger but whatever it is he is not willing to compromise.
But the company needs a new director as Mr. Rashed is hospitalized. And as per the system principles, he is to be the new CEO of Kbuilders. I scoff at the thought. A man who can't control his own emotions has to direct a company.

I sighed and got inside the car. Throwing my bag on the backseat and tightly closed my eyes to relax. What a tiring day.
"How is he?" Sadid bhaiya asked me and started the car.
I looked at him. Thankfully he decided to pick me up today. Usually, it's Kuddus Mama who picks me up from work and he speaks without a pause until we reach back home. I wouldn't be able to handle him today.
"Good, I guess. How can someone be fine when they're in a coma?" I looked outside the window.
"True, how is aunty? Did she calm down yet?" He asked.
I shook my head. "I wonder what's going to happen now."
"Everything will be fine. Always have faith." He said looking at me.
