REAL LIFE

JENNA SAT ANXIOUSLY staring at her phone, confused as to what Finn meant, when the bell rang once again.

She'd heard it this time, and she knew exactly who it was.  She rushed to the front door, leaving her phone behind.

As she opened the door she saw the face she'd hoped to see, plus a bouquet of balloon flowers, she remembered telling him they were her favourite flowers, because "They look like purple stars."

A smile immediately made its way to her face, matching his. "I didn't want to ask it over text, because that would be a boring story."

"Jenna Woods, will you go on a date with me?" She smiled even brighter (if that was even possible.)

"I would love to." She took the flowers and wrapped her arms around the boy. He leaned in, both sure of what happened next this time.

Their lips connected and even without the built up tension and weird conflicting emotions, it was a feeling that was crazy for the both of them.

It was even better this time, because they were sure of each other and the kiss, and they knew it wouldn't be their last.

He looked at her eyes after pulling away, they were filled with joy this time. And not a single speck of regret.

"A boring story?" She asked, laughing. Everything he said had just sunk in. "How is everything that happened the past week a boring story?"

"Well excuse me if im not excited for a lecture from 'love doctor' Caleb for asking you out over text." Her eyes widened.

"Oh no." "What?" He asked, concerned. "Our friends basically just proved us wrong. They predicted this."

"Oh no. Noah is never going to let me hear the end of this." "What'd you think about Sadie? She literally told me about your text and then gave us each others numbers!"

"Wait she told you about me texting her?" The girl nodded. "The bitch."
