REAL LIFE
JENNA QUICKLY tied her shoes and ran down the stairs. She thought her skateboard was upstairs, but it wasn't. To be honest she hadn't touched it in a while, partly because she was kinda shitty at skating.
"Mais, have you seen my skateboard?" The redhead turned her attention away from the tv and to her sister. "I might've put it in the closet with the jackets. Not sure though."
Jenna walked towards the closet and grabbed her skateboard. "Got it, thanks." She took her jacket as well, in case they stayed out late and it got cold.
"Where you going?" The brunette stuffed her jacket in a tote bag, which also contained her earphones, water bottle, money and phone. "I'm hanging out with Finn."
"How fun." The older sister smiled to herself. "Stop." "I didn't say anything!" "That look said everything! We're just friends."
"Alright. Take a key with you in case i'm asleep when you come back." Jenna grabbed a key from off the kitchen counter and also put it inside her bag. The bell rang and Jenna quickly made her way to the door.
"Bye Mais, love you." "Love you too! Have fun." "Use protection!" A third voice yelled out. "What the hell Joe where did you come from?"
"The bathroom." The man shrugged and sat down on the couch. "Oh, okay? Bye!"
The two teens bought their slushies, both of which were blue, and were now sat on the ground at an empty parking lot. They were adding songs to a playlist, seeing as they both agreed they would need music every time they hung out.
"Ooh add cruel summer!" The girl said, sipping her slushie. "Any more taylor songs?" "Yeah dress and delicate." "Im also adding getaway car because it's a masterpiece." Jenna nodded.
Finn took one of Jenna's earphones and put it in. He put the other in her ear, smiling. He then pressed shuffle and grabbed his skateboard. "Come on, you said you wanted to skate." Jenna stood up, wiping her hands on her pants. "Just so you know, i never claimed to be good."
Finn stepped on his skateboard and so did Jenna, she immediately lost her balance, almost falling. Finn started laughing. "Okay i didn't think you'd be that bad." "It's been a while okay!" She defended, also laughing.
He grabbed her hands, their hearts beating just a bit faster, but they both ignored it. "Try again, i got you." Jenna stepped on her board, feeling butterflies in the bottom of her stomach. His hands were really soft.
"There you go! You did it." Jenna chuckled. "Im not a toddler. I've done it before." "Really? I would not have known from your previous attempt." She playfully hit his arm.
'Freaking out the neighbourhood' started playing and Jenna moved her head to the beat. Both of them sang the lyrics while skating rounds around the parking lot. They were having the time of their lives.
"I still think you should watch IT with me." Finn started, after they sat down again. Jenna rolled her eyes. "Im gonna have nightmares." "You'll be fine! I'll protect you." The brunette started laughing. "Sure, now i feel safe." She said sarcastically. "You don't think i can protect you?" The boy asked, offended.
"I think you can try. But if a creepy clown came to kill me you'd probably run in the other direction." "If i could prove you wrong i would, but i cant because pennywise isn't real. Another reason to not be scared!" Jenna sighed, thinking for a moment.
"Fine, i'll watch it with you." Finn quickly turned his head. "Really?" "Yeah." He jumped up in excitement. "Text your sister if you can stay over. We're totally doing this now."
