Another Day Of School

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock screaming in my ear. My entire body begged to wake up so I did. I just stared forward into the wall of my room. Familiar with my surroundings but extremely tired. I step out of my bed, almost falling due to my terrible balance. I head toward the blinds to open them inviting the bright sunlight into my room.

"Sigh... Another day of school, I guess."

I said sleepily. I get dressed quickly and go to the kitchen to eat breakfast, my stomach growling due to hunger. I look around to find my breakfast and spotted a piece of buttered toast. Mom was already ready and was waiting on me so I quickly put the toast in my mouth, biting down on it to secure it so it doesn't fall, grab my rolling backpack and leave.

The entire time I was in the car I gazed out of the small car window. I watched cars, houses, and pedestrians go by. Then before I knew it, I saw the small silhouette of my school up ahead. It got closer and closer until it was right in front of us. I was really early. School doesn't start until at least an hour... There were barely any cars in the parking lot. I would assume the only cars there would be the staff. I opened the car door, smiled, and waved goodbye to my mom. I slowly walked to my usual spot. It was severely lonely since barely anyone was in sight. I took a seat, grabbed my Chromebook, and listened to music.

I don't know how long it had been. I was so focused on the music I was listening to I jumped when seeing my friend Log walking toward me. Log was my close friend. We became best friends after our entire friend group left us. After my boyfriend had broken up with me because he sided with my ex-friends, I started to have a little crush on Log. Log was also romantically lonely. He had to break up with one of his partners because they didn't treat him well. His other ex; Because she had used him and was extremely toxic. I felt terrible for him.

"Hey Slab."

I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and ran up to him to give him a hug. It was so~ dramatic. In a good way! Because it was like a romance movie! He started running up to me too! My cheeks felt warm and I felt all bubbly. But suddenly I realized... None of us are slowing down! We're going to collide! And then everything went dark. The last thing I remembered was falling to the ground but then the handle of my rolling backpack hit my back and severe pain flooded my body.

"Hey! You're awake! Are you okay?"

 I opened my eyes to see my attacker and savior! I quickly looked around and the entire area that had been filled with kids... was gone. I was extremely confused, in pain, and had a bad headache. I then remembered that me and Log had collided and to make it worse, the handle of my backpack had hurt my back. I still felt the stabbing pain as if it happened seconds ago. I was worried that I was late for class. I had so many questions!

"Eugh... What time is it...? I need to go to the Nurse's Office..."

 I groaned, rubbing my head. I just want to go home. I know I had just been dropped off, or it at least felt like it, I wanted to go home. My head pains terribly and I just don't feel well. Log helped me up and we started walking toward the Nurse's Office. I prayed that the pain would stop soon. As we got there, Log explained everything to the Nurse. She just stood up from her seat, went to the freezer, grabbed an ice pack, and handed it to me. I was completely flabbergasted! I felt betrayed... The Nurse accused my terrible injury of being alike a scratch!  Whatever... I would just have to suck it up until the day ends.

I exited the building with a pissed look on my face. I was so upset! But Log comforted me and it made me feel much better! I hope he didn't see the obvious blush on my face. That would have been very embarrassing. I would never be forgiven if he only liked me as a friend. Anyways, I found myself walking into the classroom and waving goodbye to Log. He's so pretty...
