Being pushed into a pool, fully clothed too, is not fun. Robin decides when it's exactly what happens to her. She's at a party at Steve's place since his parents are gone for a couple weeks. Nancy — her girlfriend of almost 6 months now — is there too, alongside Eddie and their group of teenage children. Of course, despite being outside, the pool is so cold that no one has gone yet. That is, until Steve decides to change that.

She screeches as she feels the cold water envelop her for a few moments before her head breaks the surface, and she's already loudly yelling 'Steve!' as she shivers. Granted, she really shouldn't have trusted walking right by the edge to get past him. Seeing Steve bent over from laughing so hard though changes her mind. With as much effort as she can muster, she takes the opportunity to splash him. Seeing half of his clothes drenched with a glare sent her way is enough to get her to laugh at him.

Moving over to the edge of the pool, she pulls herself up, immediately shaking from the cold air as she purposefully ignores Steve and everyone else who was laughing too. Nancy is already walking up to her, having somehow managed to retrieve a towel in that time.

"Here, you look cold," She teases, draping the towel over Robin's shoulders.

Robin just rolls her eyes, almost missing the way Nancy's eyes briefly move up and down her body before focusing back on her own. She's got a warm smile on her face but there's an unfamiliar look in her eyes that Robin can't decipher.

"Steve! Dingus, are there any spare rooms I can get changed in? Any spare clothes too?" Robin asks, smiling briefly at Mike and Lucas getting into an argument about who should jump into the water first, and what looks like El and Max grinning at each other and walking as if they're about to push both the unsuspecting boys in. Dustin, Eddie, and Will are watching all four of them but doing nothing to contribute, waiting for the chaos that's about to happen.

Unfortunately for Robin, Steve replies and catches her attention, and she's just looking over at him when she hears yelling and splashing to her side. "Yeah, upstairs near the end there's a spare room and there are also drawers that I put a bunch of spare clothes in just in case— Sinclair, Wheeler, Don't drown each other in my pool!" Steve suddenly shouts, looking at the two in the pool play fighting. His hands are in his hips and he looks so much like a mother scolding children that Robin laughs. She throws her hands up in a 'sorry not sorry' expression when he turns and gives her an unamused expression before focusing back on 'his kids', including the ones laughing out of the water with Eddie.

Robin wants to keep watching but feels a warm hand on her arm, and seeing Nancy nod her head in the direction of the house suddenly reminds her of how fucking cold and soaking wet she is. Fucking dingus for pushing me in.

Nancy silently leads her into the house and up the stairs. Robin wants to ask if anything is wrong. Sure, Nancy doesn't talk nearly as much as herself, but not saying anything is weird. So she does ask, accidentally rambling too.

"Nance, is everything okay? You haven't said anything at all and it's starting to worry me? I know it shouldn't and you definitely don't have to talk if you don't want to but normally you'd have said something at least like, 'I'll show you where the spare room is, let's go'. Not that that's exactly what you'd say but—"
