Viken was one of the most loving and healing of the boys. He loved everyone and everything and cared for it as if it were his own. It was natural to him, as he was the descendant of the forest. To describe Viken, he was loving, caring, loyal, and a healer. He loved the feeling of helping others and feeling as though he was needed, and wanted. He loved his friends to the ends of the earth and back, he would do anything and everything for them, and he knew they felt the same about him. He also loved taking care of the forests, and the nature of the island. It was his job, and he loved every second of it. If he wasn't talking to his friends, not long after he starts to get lonely. So, he turns to his plants instead. He would talk to the plants, the forests and the vines about his childhood and growing up with his friends.

Viken was the descendant of the forest, so it wouldn't be a surprise to his friends if they caught him having a conversation with a leaf. They grew up with it, they got used to it eventually. Sometimes Viken would drag his friends in on the conversation and ask them to tell the story of how they all defeated a big black and purple dragon with their powers, or the adventures they would go on while exploring the island. They would always refuse, they found it best to let Viken do the talking. To plants... Because he was the descendant of the forest and mother nature, Viken had healing abilities as well. He loved the fact of knowing he could help his friends and heal his plants too. He felt needed, he felt like he was wanted.

Viken was given the biggest forest on the whole island. It was filled with massive Coast Redwood trees, streams and river holes all over his section of the island and Viken thrived there. It was his home. He loved the smell of the fresh breeze, the sight of the trees and the fish in the streams swimming with the small tide. If the boys wanted to find him, there was this one tree that he would hang around the most. It was a General Sherman tree that he would fly up on one of the branches, or he would simply be sitting underneath it, fast asleep.

Viken had one thing he valued the most though. It was his wings. He had beautiful black wings on his back that he cherished more than anything. He would fly around everywhere he could. He loved being in the air and soaring through the sky. He would fly up above the clouds and face his body towards the sun, feeling the rays hit his face and he loved it. His wings were the one thing he cherished the most, and he didn't know what he would do without them. He needed the feeling of being able to feel the sun on his face, the breeze blowing his hair out of his face, and being able to see his reflection as he soared above the rivers. He needed that feeling every day, otherwise he would feel like he was going to go crazy.

That night, he was going to go to the General Sherman tree and fly above it again. He liked spending most nights on top of that tree and star gaze if he wasn't with his friends and it would help him fall asleep a lot easier. He wasn't sure why, but his friends had stopped meeting most nights, and they would stay in their sections of the island and do whatever they were doing. Viken didn't like it at all. He loved his friends, and he loved spending time with them. He loved being loud with them and going on adventures together, but those days seemed to be drifting away from him, further and further every day. So tonight, he was going to go on top of the tree and forget all the doubts he has about it.

He was walking by on his path to go towards the General Sherman tree, but he heard two voices. He knew who the voices belonged to, so he decided to eavesdrop and try to scare them.

"I guess it's just a gift, heh. How about you come with me to see Taho and Avys? We haven't seen them in a while." Viken heard Soule say faintly.

"Yeah, sure. But what about Viken? Are they just going to bring him? Or is he coming on his own?" Eugene said to Soule while Viken followed sneakily behind them.

"I think Taho and Avys will bring him. I'm not so sure. I guess we'll find out when we get there."

"Huh? How come I never heard about this meetup?" Viken thought to himself as he began to pout while flying up to the top of the General Sherman tree.

Viken wasn't sure what to think. He thought that his friends would of at least told him that they were going to meet up. But, he hadn't heard a word from his friends at all recently. He had been spending all his nights alone in his tree. He felt a little betrayed at first, but he continued to keep his head high. Maybe they were going to get him tonight? Maybe Taho and Avys were looking for him now? Viken stayed in the tree and tried to look for two owls around him but to no avail. He got tired of waiting and decided to go find them himself.

"Hey! Soule! Eugene! Over here!" Viken could hear Taho and Avys call out to the older ones, he hid behind one of the trees to see what would happen. He didn't understand why he was hiding, but if he wasn't invited, he might as well of, Viken thought.

"Hey, guys! Sorry, we got here a little late. I caught up with Soule for a little while we were walking." Eugene said to the other two.

"Well, at least you came. We haven't caught up in a while, how are you guys?" Avys said as he went to hug his two older brothers.

"We're ok, just busy with our roles on the island. Say, where's Viken? I thought you guys would've gotten him?" Soule said with curiosity in his voice. Finally, someone remembered he existed.

"Oh shit, I thought you were going to get him, Soule. Then he doesn't know about this?" Taho said with worry in his voice.

"I think you should have been the one to get him, Taho. You were the one that asked us to gather together anyway." Soule said to the boy.

"Alright, my bad. But that isn't exactly important right now. We need to find Viken, this won't be complete without him." Taho said to all of the boys as they start to walk towards Viken's forest.

"You don't need to go looking for me, I'm right here," Viken said sheepishly as he slowly emerged out of the shadows.

"Oh, Viken! You were right there? You should've come out earlier!" Avys said to Viken as he ran to him giving him a tight hug.

"Yeah, well. Couldn't exactly do that without an invite." Viken said with disappointment written all over him.

"We're sorry Viken, it won't happen again. But, now that you're here, come hang out with us, like old times." Eugene said as he went over to Viken with a reassuring smile on his face.

As much as Viken was hurt at first, he couldn't help but feel a lot better looking at his friends. He knew he could trust them. He knew he belonged with them. He knew that he wasn't forgotten, right?
