Total Money Makeover

Chapter 5- School day 1

I can't believe it...I'm a millionaire. As I carry on with the rest of my school day I get many glares. At lunch, someone even sat at my lunch table asking to be friends. I rejected them. I only knew that they were there for my money. I look over to see JJ at his locker. I walk over to him and put my hand on his shoulder. He looks over and smiles a little. "Are you still mad at me?" He says in a pouty voice.  I smile, "No I can't stay mad at you bestie." I say. His face brightens up. "I heard you won some money, do you think it's real?" JJ asks. "Not really, to be honest. I think they'll be too scared to even step foot into my neighborhood." I say as I chuckle. JJ doesn't laugh. "I mean..not trying to be funny or anything but do you want it to send it over to my house?" JJ asks. "Why and how does that make you greedy?" I ask. "Since you said they'll be scared to visit your neighborhood," I interrupt him. "So you think they won't be scared of yours?" I say. "I don't know.." JJ says. "Thats what it sounds like." I say.  "I feel like ive been making you upset all day. Im sorry." JJ says. "What do you mean Jadiel?" I say. "I feel like whatever I say, you get offended by it so ima give you space y'know." JJ says. "See you on the bus?.." I ask. "Sure." JJ says as he walks off.

After school, I get on the bus and I dont see JJ on it. O..k well he probably has a volleyball meet or something. I sit in a empty seat and look out the window. As the final students get on the bus, the bus engine roars. The bus drives off.
