Part 1

Ivory's POV
I woke up to the sound of summer birds chirping on a Wednesday morning. Glad I got a goodnight sleep last night. I still can not believe that Xavier Campbell and I are secret lovers? But we can't because we are not in love? I'll go with admirers. Its been a month and I was happy. Xavier and I go on secret dates but never once did they knew who I was. The paps will go find the location but i always covered and everyone only ever saw my shoes. We were always on magazine covers and I always got compliments on my shoes. I'm known as the " secret lover of Campbell ". I shocked away my thoughts.
I walked to my French doors and opened my curtains and walked outside the balcony. It sure was a beautiful morning.
I decided to get dressed into a romper and a white lace cardigan. Along with that I grabbed a tan sun hat and my gladiator sandals. I then texted Isabelle to come over.
I got downstairs and met with Sara.
" Goodmorning." She said to me and continued on making breakfast
" Goodmorning Sara! I'll like my breakfast out by the pool please " I said to her
" Well how strange! Your dad asked for that too! He's there already honey and I think some other guest as well. I'll take your meal out ok? " She told me
" Go it! Also Isabelle will be arriving soon so let her out thanks!!" I said aiming her a smile and heading outside. I wonder who of my dad's friends are here.
" goodmorning daddy" I said to my father and immediately saw who was seated there.
" Goodmorning princess " he said as I kissed his cheek
" Goodmorning to the rest of you " I said politely to the men in front of me
" Goodmorning Ms Parks " said Xavier standing up and offering his hand. I took it and shook it. I noticed he was not wearing a suit he was wearing jeans and a white tee shirt and he looks hot!
" Morning Ms Parks " said Ashton smiling and doing exactly what Xavier did.
" Hey dad where are my brothers? " I asked him odd that they were not here.
" Ivan and Isaac went out with Nancy and Francesca " he said.
" Are we hearing wedding bells soon? " I said teasing my brothers who were not present.
" I sure do hope it's one of your brothers and not you sweetie " he said
" Oh dad! I'm not going to get married soon. " i said causally and paused " unless Collin pops the question soon " I said laughing and earning a glare from my dad and a groan from Xavier
" I like Collin princess but you're too young " he started but I cut him off
" Dad even if Collin did propose, don't you got to be in a relationship before you get engaged? " I said. obviously looking for a way to tell my dad that Collin and I are no longer together
" What do you mean? Did you guys break up again? " He asked
" Yes. It's just that the distance dad. The time. ugh I hate life " I said
" You mean you hate your wonderful heirs life? " He told me
" Dad not like that. Stop trying to make me seem ungrateful. I mean why can't people who are ment to be, be together? Why is there something always keeping them away? " I said
" Sweetheart. You're sixteen! You don't need to worry about that. There will be tons of more guys in the future. " he said
" I'm almost seventeen dad! " I said. He looked at me and laughed
" Just remember not to mess with the wrong guys who will just break your heart. Because then that's where me and your brothers come in. " he says to me.
" To late " I mumble and I heard a soft chuckle from Xavier. I slightly glance to my dad and I wonder if he heard.
" Well I think we might be hearing wedding bells soon but from someone else." My dad said looking towards the house direction and walking towards us was Isabelle and Ian.
" Those two just can't get enough of each other " my dad said
" Tell me about it. Alejandro and I kept talking about there not so secret glances at each other " I said to my father laughing.
" By the way we need to have a chat alone about Mr Delano .Ivory." My dad said in a serious tone. This must be important because he used my name but I just rolled my eyes and looked away from him and saw the blue grey eyes of Xavier.
" Hi " I said to him
" Hello Ms Parks " he said
" Call me Ivory, Ms Parks is too old " I said giggling
" Ivory " he said. We looked at each other until my dad cleared his throat but before he could say anything
" Hey guys! " Isabelle said cheerful.
" Goodmorning gentlemen and lady and dad " Ian said " I found Isabelle walking in "
" We saw from afar. what took you guys so long? To get from the door to here? " I said
" Isabelle dropped her earring in the grass " Ian said.
I looked at her but she was looking at Ashton with a hateful look and her grip on Ian got tighter. Odd just a week ago they couldn't get off of each other.
" Anyways. Sit both of you, breakfast will be served soon " my dad said
" So Ivory. Alejandro Delano? You sure don't choose just anyone " Ian said raising an eyebrow
" Well of course I can't just be seen with anyone. Like half of the men in New York are man whores " I said and regretted it when I remembered Xavier was next to me.
" Ivory. Choose better words " my dad said
" Sorry daddy! " I said and our butler came out
" Lady Ivory you have a call from Spain " he told me
" Oh! It's Collin " I said grabbing the phone and mouth a thank you to him
" Hello? " I said happily
" Princess! How are you? Sorry I haven't called in the past few weeks love, practice has been busy " he told me
" It's fine Collin, you don't have to call every single day. Your not obligated to" I told him
" Ivory, princess I'm sorry- "
" Collin you don't have to apologize I understand babe. " I told him giggling
" Oh gosh how I miss you and your sweet giggles " he told me. I blushed and I bet everyone noticed
" I miss you too Gale. It's not the same without you. Like today I wanna go for a walk to Central Park but I doubt anyone will go with me " I said a bit sad
" I wish I could babe. Anways sorry but I gotta go. "
" Ok Collin. "
" I love you Ivory Parks " he told me
" I love you too Collin Gale. " I said but something in me didn't feel it.
We hung up and I looked at Isabelle who was giving me a weird look
" And here I was being fooled by the words of you. I thought you said you and Collin broke up? " My dad said.
" We did "
" Then why did you - "
" Really guys? It's Collin Gale and Ivory we are speaking of right now. They are madly in love. I will bet anyone of you here that by the time Collin gets off the plane in five months from now, Ivory and him will become a couple once more. " Isabelle said cutting my dad off.
" You are on De Rio " Ian said sticking out his hand for Isabelle to shake it.
" Stop both of you right there! Stop trying to predict my future! " I said
" C'mon Ivory we all know that you will get back with him after he comes back " Isabelle said as our food came.
" I believe she would not " Ian said again.
" Me and Collin are not together anymore. Ok? What if he starts to date and I do too? " I asked
" Like who Alejandro ? " Ian said smirking
" Yes. " I said and the whole table went quiet
" Excuse me I have to take this call" Xavier said excusing himself and walked away from the table.
Well Ivory you sure know how to piss off men. Isabelle sent me a looking telling me that it would be best if I shut up and ate.
Once Xavier came back I decided to make small talk with him
" so Mr. Campbell, can I ask you a few questions?" I said very politely
" Of course Ivory under one condition" he said " you call me Xavier not Mr. Campbell. That's too old " he said smirking and using my words from earlier.
I laughed and my dad chuckled.
" what a way of words Mr- Xavier. I think we have a deal. "
" Ok well then ask away " he said eating
" Ivory I don't think it's the time to ask him questions sweetheart. The man is eating " My dad butt in
" I agree and plus, what are you a reporter? " Ian said. I rolled my eyes.
" No. I just want to see if he interesting enough for an essay I have to do over summer. " I said
" Most people find me very interesting Ivory " he said firm and calm
" But Ivory isn't like most people Mr. Campbell " Isabelle said. " she's different. She likes adventures and nature, sure she loves to shop and whatever other girls like but when it comes to a person, mostly a man she's very picky and reserved. " she continued and then Ian added -
" I agree once again. Ivory just doesn't find business men fun. One of the few things she got from I have no idea where. She also sees things that other people don't, she sees beauty in things that are hideous and she loves- "
" Geez guys! I say I want to ask Xavier a few questions and you guys go all out on my personality " I cut off Ian " Xavier if you don't want me to ask you questions it's fine. I'll just go with my first choice of the people "I said to him now.
" Who will that be? " He asked
" My grandfather who lives in France"
" Oh! Sir Descartes correct? "
" Yes! And since it's my senior year I was thinking about interviewing him but that's too much work. Like going all the way to France." I said in a lazy tone
" Oh and the fact that everytime Ivory goes he tries to fix her up with who knows who is in fashion over there" Isabelle said laughing
" Well one thing Ivory is that Xavier, my best guy is a very interesting person. There's no need for you to travel all the way to France " Ashton spoke up
" Wait wait wait. Sweetheart, you have a billionaire father why can't I be interviewed? " My dad said making a fake frown to me
" Daddy I love you but so many people are going to do you and well I don't want to be like other people. Anways my grandfather doesn't do interviews anymore " I said " so I don't know if he will like too " I said lastly
" Really Ivory? We all know how much grandpa loves you! I think he will say yes " Ian said
" And if plan A and Plan B fail who's C?" Ashton asked
" Andrè Hamann. He is a German model slash business men and such a hottie " I said
" Aw your eyes dilated and sparkled even more" Isabelle said
" Who is André Hamann? Never heard of him " Xavier said I can tell he wasn't in the mode to hear more about other boys
" Ivory's long lost crush " Ian said
" And my future husband " I said teasing not only Xavier but also Ian
" How do you plan on interviewing him if he doesn't know you? " My dad asked
" Well I know people and Martin can contact them and if all of that fails then I guess I will have to go to my dearest father of mine who has many more contacts than me and will do anything to make me happy " I said smiling at him
" I will make sure Linda calls your grandfather " my dad said taking a sip of the orange juice.
I rolled my eyes and said " dad really? I think I might just try to contact André " I knew that will make him mad
" I'll like to see you try princess " he said
" Don't underestimate me father of mine. Ivory Parks always gets what she wants " I said winking.
" So I guess we will be taking a trip Ivory ? " Isabelle asked teasing the situation
" Yes! To France " I said. " interviewing my grandpa will defiantly get me a A" I said.
" Good choice " my dad said. I knew what he was capable of.
" Anyways does anyone want to join me for a walk at Central Park on this beautiful day today? " I asked looking around
" No thanks! I have plans " Isabelle said looking at Ian
" I will love to join you ms. Parks " Xavier said
" Ok but first it's Ivory" I said and he laughed. " I'll go get my purse and be right out! " I said getting up and walking inside and up the stairs.
I grabbed my stuff and went back to the poolside porch.
" Bye daddy! Love you " I said kissing his cheek. " bye Ian! And Isabelle! Love you both " I said and finally " goodbye Mr. Johnson " I said and shook his hand, he said goodbye back.
" Ready ? " Xavier asked
" Yes sir " I said
" Xavier Campbell I expect you to respect my daughter and keep her safe. " my dad told him
" Or we will have your head " Ian added
" Ignore Ian comment lets go! " I said grabbing his hand and pulling him around the back way to the front of the house.
" Eager to leave sweet pea? "
" Just shut up and lets go Xavier " I said.
He opened the passenger seat for me and I got in then he got to his side and he started the car.
" So what's up with that Collin kid? " He asked once we drove away from my house.
"Nothing is up with him? " I asked confused
" Don't play dumb with me Ivory " he said angry
" I'm not Xavier? "
" Ivory! What was that babe thing or that I love you too Collin " he said faking a girly voice.
I laughed and said " oh Xavier. You are jealous "
" Ivory this isn't funny "
" Have a sense of humor love. But in all seriousness Collin is my friend and I love him. You nor no one ever will tell me who I can love" I said
" How would you like it if I go around telling women I love them? "
" Well you sure do go fuck them and I thought Xavier Campbell doesn't love? " I said to him. He got more mad and I can tell because his knuckles gripped harder.
" Xavier, pull over please"
" What - "
" Pull over " I said annoyed
He pulled to the side of the road. Just a few cars passing by us
" Xavier, you are the man I want. I want you only you " I said grabbing his face and getting closer to him until our lips were inches away.
" Sweet pea " he said grabbing my face and I put my arms around his neck
" Only you Mr. Campbell " I said and closed the gap between us.
Right then and there I felt truly happy. But I knew that wasn't good, he wasn't good. I've been told that I should never get involved with him, not even a friendship but I'm far from that and I no longer cared. He makes me happy.
Ivory what have you gotten yourself into? I said to myself.
