I slowly pushed the door open then saw the servant and frowned, nodding once at Sera. As she threw the canister into the kitchen, the smoke began filling the air and the servant fell to the ground.
"Grab that." I whispered to the friend of Buttercup's, going further into the estate. We didn't want to leave any trace of this being a professional job.
"The mistress isn't in her room." The elf male whispered when he returned and I nodded.
"Stay." I breathed and went into the dining hall, where the servant girl cleaned up from dinner.
"You move, I shoot." I warned as I pressed the point of Bianca's bolt to the girl's back.
"What-what do you want?!" She asked and I frowned as I saw the knife blade in her sleeve.
"You use that knife, my friends here move." I said and Buttercup entered the room with her friends, surrounding the table.
"What do you need?!" The girl growled, but I frowned.
"Your mistress, Lady Trevelia." I said and she sighed.
"In the late Master's room, she has been sleeping there." She said and I smirked.
"Good girl." I said and pulled the trigger, severing her spine. She was dead before she hit the ground.
"Varric-"
"She was gonna alert the damn capital." I said and yanked my bolt free, sliding it into my quiver. As we moved through the estate, we knocked out the servants who weren't a threat and killed the rest. When we got to the master suite, I heard a fire crackling inside and someone crying.
"Buttercup, just us." I whispered and she nodded. As we went into the room, the middle aged woman stood from her chair in front of the fire.
"I said I wasn't to be-" She stopped as she saw us then her eyes widened when she took in our weapons and the blood on our clothes.
"I-I will pay you anything you ask-"
"We don't want money." I smirked and she frowned.
"Besides, you have none!" Sera said and pulled her bow tighter.
"We have plenty-"
"Adaline sends her regards." I said and the woman's eyes widened. Before she could say anything, an arrow flew into her skull through her eye and I glanced at Buttercup as she knocked another arrow, firing it into the other eye as well. The woman hadn't even stepped back before she had two arrows in her head and was dead.
"It'll look like an assassin I know of." She said and I nodded, going forward and ripping the necklace off the woman's neck. Bring me the necklace so I know it's really done.
"That the charm she wanted?" Buttercup asked and I nodded, standing as I pocketed it.
"Varric, we just killed an entire estate-"
"Of abusers, torturers, and killers. We're doing the world a service." I said and Buttercup nodded.
"I was going to say let's get some drinks." She said and I grinned.
"Let's go." I said and we left the suite, leaving death in the estate.

I looked at the scaffolds to see the builders now had something around their waists, but I was going towards the war room where Herah was with the others. As I walked in, I saw Adaline reading a book and smirked when I realized it was one of mine.
"Well?" Sparkler asked, but I went to Adaline and she looked at me.
"Here." She took the necklace then smiled softly as she saw the pendant.
"Didn't know what hit her." Buttercup boasted and Firefly smiled at me.
"Thank you, Fuzzy." She whispered and used the necklace as a bookmark, shutting her book and going to the table.
"What are the builders wearing?" I asked as we stood around the table and Giantess sighed.
"Harnesses, to keep them from dying should they fall."
"Why we didn't think of that, I don't know." Ruffles said, but Firefly shrugged and set out a paper, unfolding it and weighing it down.
"This... is Skyhold's infrastructure." She said and I looked at it, realizing it was a new drawing of the fortress.
"Did you do this?" I asked and Firefly smiled.
"To be a builder, you must be an artist. This is what your previous builder was doing. I'll be personally overseeing everything from here on out, since this place needs to be built in a certain manner." She said and grabbed a piece of charcoal, explaining things to Herah as she drew on the map.
"This way, we lessen the chance of a collapse." She said and I had to admit, even I understood exactly what she was doing.
"Good. We'll keep you in charge of the building of Skyhold. I'd like you to work on the hall to this room, only you. I don't trust the other refugees with any information that may be overheard-"
"You trust the girl who asked for her mother's head instead?" Firefly asked and Tiny smirked as Giantess softly chuckled.
"More than the woman who begged me to find her baby in a war with demons." She said and Firefly nodded, folding up her paper.
"Then consider the contract signed. I'll draw up an actual one soon, for my records and all that jazz. Pleasure working with you, Dragon." She said and turned, leaving the war room.
"I heard the Trevelia family was murdered in a robbery gone wrong." I looked at the Inquisitor then smirked.
"A real tragedy-"
"It was supposedly the bloodiest robbery Orlais has seen in a long time. Though, many speculate an assassin killed the lady. She had two arrows in her eyes, the calling card of an elven assassin that hasn't been seen in a long time." She said and Buttercup smirked as we began to leave.
"A damn shame! I hear the Trevelia daughter is pretty!" Buttercup said as I held the door for her.
"Such a tragedy. Hope the heiress is alright." I said and shut the door behind me, going to the tavern to drink.
