Unmol: I can't tell you how much i hate the first day of school, especially since my BIRTHDAY was yesterday. 

Like, can anything get worse? I got up at 7:00 and my  birds were already awake.  I have to feed them in the morning, but i would be late for school. I did it anyway, and then got ready.

 I had breakfast and went to school nervous af. I used to like the first day of school because i would meet my friends and stuff but for some reason i wasn't excited at all.

I go to school with some kid in my class, his name is Hamid (for the story). So i went to his house to get him and he was late.

 It annoyed me a little bit more because girl its the first day i couldn't be late. 

We reached school and i saw my friend hazel. I said hi to her and we both walked off to class. I couldn't believe i was in eighth grade. 

As i went into the class, everyone was catching up to their friends about their summer breaks and all. I noticed  Maha by herself so we both sat beside her.

 Maha's one of my closest friends in school she's super nice. We talked to each other for a while, and then the teacher told the class to settle down. The teacher was counting heads and doing attendance and that's when i realized my friend Maria wasn't here. She didn't come to school last year and i wanted to see her really bad. I've known her since third grade. I told our teacher that Maria wasn't here.

Teacher: Maria's coming soon. She lives quite far and it's nothing to be worried about.

Unmol: yeah ok i guess.

Maha: So, what did you guys do in your summer break? I went to New York and it was soo fun! 

Unmol: Your so lucky, i wanna go there so bad, it's been years. 

Unmol:  how about u , hazel?

Hazel: I went to Turkey

Maha: cool, but summer went by so fast though.

Unmol and hazel: yeah i knoww

* knock on the door*

Teacher: Unmol, can you open that please?

Unmol: Sure, maybe it's Maria.

and yes i was right! maria was there. 

Maria: Oh, hi Unmol. Long time no see.

Unmol: hi, you can sit with me if you like, over there

*points to front of the class*

Maria: Nah, i wanna sit in the back, i dont like the front.

Unmol: ok sure! 

*Maria sits with other girls in the back*
