A few weeks later Wesley was farther along and having faux contractions for two weeks.

He was at Ten Forward right now and had felt tighter than usual since last night.

He was twenty eight weeks right now and had another six weeks to go.

He was still working and still didn't plan on stopping until he has them.

None of them were happy about it but weren't surprised.

Then he felt another and winced.

When it was done he took a deep breath.

"Maybe I should go see mom later." he said and saw he was on shift in ten minutes.

Then he got up and headed to the bridge.

On his way there he stopped and held the wall for a few minutes and went through another one.

When it was done he took a deep breath.

"I can't wait until I'm done." he muttered and headed to the bridge.

Picard had made a deal when he was twenty four weeks. He'll let him still work but stay on the bridge.

While he did his job he had a little trouble focusing.

His back had been hurting for a while and having trouble getting up.

When he was done for the day he decided to go to Sickbay.

When he got there he saw Beverly finishing a patient after being on a mission.

He will admit it, he misses being on missions.

"Dr. Crusher?" he said and she looked at him.

"Yes ensign Crusher?" she said.

"Can you just check on him? It's been tighter than usual today."

She nodded and had him lay down.

Then she had Ogawa hand her an ultrasound and she did as told.

"Thanks." Beverly said and Wesley pulled up his shirt. "OK. Let's see what's going on." she said, got the jelly and looked. "Hmmmm. He looks a little lower than he should where you are." she said and looked at him. "I just wanna see if you're dilated at all to be safe OK?"

He nodded, cleaned up his stomach and let her see.

"Am I dilated at all?" he asked hoping he wasn't.

"Yeah. You may be 28 weeks but he wants to come sooner."

"Where?" he asked worried.

"Three percent." she said. "You taking a break now?"

"No. I'm not stopping until I get in labor." he said and she shook her head.

"Fine. But the minute it feels tighter then usual you stop and come to me." she said and he nodded.

"OK." he said, got up and headed to his quarters.

A week later he was 29 weeks and still working as planned.

He was on the bridge right now and his stomach had been bothering him since last night but hid it.

Picard and Jack had been looking after him.

He was tight right now and was counting the time difference in his head to hide it.

Picard saw him tighten up and was worried.

Then Wesley took a deep breath and tried to keep himself busy at work.

Every ten minutes he felt it and was having trouble hiding the pain.

An hour later Picard gave up.

"Ensign Crusher?" he said.

"Yes sir?" Wesley said and looked at him.

"You're off duty until further notice after you have them."

"But sir, I'm fine!"

"No you're not. Now get to bed!"

Wesley sighed and slowly got up.

"Fine." he said and the others snickered a little knowing he hated stopping.

Then he started getting to the door but stopped, held onto the wall and winced.

"Wesley?" Picard said gently.

A few minutes later he took a deep breath.

Then he felt something come down and groaned.

"Wes?" Jack said.

"My water just broke." Wesley said.

They froze for a second then came back.

"Jack, take him to Sickbay." Picard said. "Captain to Dr. Crusher."

"Crusher here." Beverly said.

"Ensign Crusher's water just broke and Jack is helping him to Sickbay."

"Oh god! I'll get everything all set."

"OK."

Then Jack wrapped his arm around Wesley's neck.

"Let's go Wes." he said gently and started leaving.

"Good luck Wesley!" Picard said.

"Thank you sir." Wesley said and they left.
