Vance hopper x male reader

Chapter 5

Y/N POV:

For the rest of lunch Vance is drawing and I'm reading it's very peaceful in all honestly. "He y/n, have you ever had a crush on someone?" Vance suddenly asks 'this is not something I'd think Vance would ask' I think and make a confused face "uhh yeah I have, why?" I ask him he nods "was just wondering" he said smiling I nod smiling back at him he goes back to drawing and I go back to reading my book.

After a while we hear the bell and I sigh sadly "hey did you want to ditch and go to grab n' go?" He asks I nod almost immediately cause who wouldn't take the opportunity to miss class he smiles and we pack up our things and quickly get out of school so no teachers see us.

When we get out of school property we start to laugh "finally out of there" I say to Vance and he smiles and nods "now let's go to grab n' go!" He say's and starts to walk ahead of me I quickly jog to catch up to him and we're on our way.

Grab n' go

Once we get to grab n' go I get out my money from my bag and see how much I have, after I've counted I have $30 which is a LOT of money I guess I've been saving it "how much do you have Vance?" I ask "umm $5" he say's smiling "you can spend that on pin ball if you'd like, I'm gonna buy us snacks" I say to him he looks confused "what? But I have enough for snacks" Vance say's confused "I have $30 Vance more than enough for the whole shop" I explain and he makes a shocked face and I laugh "how do you have that much money?!" Vance asks "I must have saved" I say and shrug my shoulders and I suddenly feel arms around me I realise Vance is hugging me so I hug back.

I hear him mumble something "what was that?" I ask him he's face goes red "oh nothing" he say's and walks into gran n' go before I can ask anymore questions I sigh and walk in after him.

Vance immediately goes to the pin ball machine and I start to browse the snacks. Once I've picked up a few snacks I see Vance smiling at me "why so happy?" I ask sarcastically he runs up to me and hugs me I hug back "everything alright?" I ask he stops hugging me and smiles a big smile "I beat my high score" he say's I smile "omg congratulations!!" I say and smile at him.

Once Vance and I pick out more snacks i go too to register and place them all down the person starts scanning them all "that will be $7" they say and I give them the cash and grab all the snacks and walk out with Vance.

When we're walking to my house Vance has opened some lollies and started to eat them "want to watch Texas chainsaw massacre at my house?" I ask and Vance immediately nods while eating I smile and we call back into a comfortable silence while walking back 'I think I'm starting to like Vance'
