Back Through the Looking Glass

Mad Hatter(Tarrant) x (female) reader

You are taking the place of Alice when she has to part with hatter for the second time in the second movie.

"Y/n, Oh Y/n!"
Hatter exclaimed excitedly as he rushed towards her, grabbing her hands in his.
"You must come and meet my family! I mean after all, you were the very person who saved them, aren't you! Haha!" His voice full of happiness. "We're going to have so much fun together!"
Y/n's smile dropped as she looked to the mirror beside them that suddenly came to life signaling her that her time in wonderland was coming to an end, hatter turned to look at the mirror as well. She looked back at hatter, sadness clouded her vision, hatter turned back to her.
"But of course you have a family of your own, don't you?" He said quietly looking down at her hands in his. She nods.
"A very important thing a family.." he continues , "you only have one." Y/n looked down.
"Oh Hatter, I fear I may never see you again.." she looked into his eyes, he smiled and shook his head.
"My dear y/n," he whispered, turning towards the mirror and walking with her towards it.
"In the gardens of memory, and in the palace of dreams," y/n looked at him and he turned to look back at her, "that is where you and I will meet" he said, smiling at her.
"But a dream is not reality.."
Hatter leaned in, making her lean back a bit, "who's to say which is which.." he smirked. Y/n smiled and embraced him in a hug, he pressed his cheek against the top of her head carefully and stroked her hair. She released herself from the hug and looked up at him again, she really didn't want to leave the place she called home but time was growing short and she had to deal with the problems she had left back in the real world.
She walked towards the mirror, still holding Hatters hand, stepping up the stairs that led into the reflective object.
She looked back at Hatter, then at the rest of her friends.
"You did it Y/n, an impossible thing" said mallymkun, whipping tears with Bayard's ear.
"What's impossible is saying goodbye to you my friends" Y/n said looking at them all.
She looked back at Hatter, squeezing his hand with hers.
"Goodbye Hatter.." and with that she walked into the looking glass.
Hatter released her hand as she started to disappear into it.
"Goodbye Y/n.." he said as wonderland faded away once more sending her back to the reality once more.
Neither of them were sure if they'd ever see each other again, but they would always have each other's hearts and would be together in wonderland once more... Some day.

This scene hurts my heart every time I watch this movie.
