Keres dad was a snake prince before my sister died and I was locked up but somehow when I went free from the prison I heard stories during my days in the cursed land that he married the human queen and they had Keres. I did not know why that man couldn't just love someone of his blood. First he went around loving my sister and then the human king.
But it was fine since he married the human queen so many years later. What else was he supposed to do die alone or what?
But thar did not consult me. He killed my mother and I was here to kill his son.
"My lady." I had forgotten that the guard was with me while I shamelessly stared at the mural that had my mother thurst with a spear while she did the same to the snake king.
"We must hurry. It is not good to await the king." I nodded as we headed to his study. The guard pushed the door open for me to walk in.
Interior dark but the room was lot by the large window that had its curtain drawn. He sat there and behind him were shelves loaded with books that were possibly unscripted in ancient language.
"King Arthur." I didn't bow, I never did. Even my father didn't have such a pleasure.
The ruler looked up from the papers in his hand, chocolate brown eyes peeking through the lense that was set low on his nose bridge.
I went to sit on the chair set opposite to him.
"I didn't expect such a rare talent coming from young lady." He said in a humble voice that spoke authority.
"Experience doesn't always come with age king Arthur. " I replied and he chuckled at my statement.
"I truly agree with you. Being the one who was give such a responsibility at such a young age. Well I must not bore you with history."
" thus is never the subject to put you to sleep, some fools may not take interest in it." The flicker in his eyes told me he totally agreed and thought the same.
"Tou must be escorted ro chamber. The ride here would have been tiring."
"Stays are most exhausting than rides. And I came here to stay didn't I?" I asked him.
"That depends on you perforate with the prince Keres."
I smiled as I spoke in hushed voice. " that depends how hard I get him." I swore he didn't understand what I meant or else he would have asked me what I meant like every other curious human being. Most of them loosing ther life's out of curiosity. Must I tell I was also a curious type.
"Zayn." The king instructed his man and he took me with him.
I was exited but my eagerness was concerned with meeting the price I needed to see how a son of a man would look that loved my sister and promised to marry her.
Walking through the corridors we stopped by every door to be pushed open by zayn and every time I rejected he sighed, not saying anything. After all the rooms were examined, we claimed further, opening to a new floor which was similar the the one before.
No murals just rough texture wall stood on either sides.
"No guest has ever let me climb this up except for one." He pushed open the door as he spoke and I was too busy walking in and investigating the room that I didn't bother to ask to whom it might be.
" by the way I am no guest." I reminded him. "And belive me the next time we come across I'll be more of a fuss."
I looked out of the balcony that exposed landscape of the castle.
"I take that as a yes then." He silently exused himself.
A few moments later, maids came flooding in to chand the sheets and worn out curtains.
The girls giggled on something they were discussing but I was never the curious type or was I?
"The royals seem to take the workers with respect." I walked around the bed th staff in the door frame.
"Oh yes the prince is very nice and cooperative with workers here. Half of the girls in the kitchen have couch on him." The one to her right elbowed her to keep her quite.
Once I changed the attire per my liking I claimed down the stairs.
"Three ninety four." I stepped on the ground with a sigh.
Exploring the castle for a fresh exposure I walked in to the ball room and to it was connected a huge garden. The freshness in the flowers made my darkest moment blur in my memory.
A swimming whole carpeted big and deep in to the center, stones laid at the corner to give a natural visual of the hot springs.
I bent down and dipped my hand in to the cold water. It was nice how it felt, so bright and lively. Standing up I stepped back without turning around and I bumped in to something rather someone. My foot on the person's foot. His hands gripped my shoulder to stop me from moving further.
Whoever it was came so silently that I could not access the apoach or I was so deep in co summing the nature that I lost the sense of existence.
I turned around to see the person and without a second thought I knew he was the one. Prince Keres Aphelion. Son of the cursed king. True heir of the snake land.
His ash white hairs and sharp jawline and those deep olive green eyes. He resembled his father. A lot. Maybe whole. I didn't see anything that he could have gotten from his mother.
It was like Jordan had his younger version except for the nose. Jordan's wasn't as stunning as his. Keres was a beauty. And he smelt of mint and chocolate.
