KABANATA 1

“Hey,wake up!” I didn't listen to him and still slept.

“It's already morning Nicole!And we have class today right?!I don't want to be late again!” He yelled at me,i got up first before smiling broadly at him.

“I know kuya,that's why I stayed up late..So we could go in late yehey!”I said with a lively voice,i quickly went to the bathroom so he wouldn't sabunot me.

“Susumbong kita kay Mom.” I heard his complaint which made me laugh.

I love my brother naman,kaso sinabunutan nya ako last night so bumawi nalang ako..galing ko diba?!

I'm only 5 years old and my Kuya Neil is 6,bata pa lang kami nyan lagi na kaming nag aaway..hindi talaga kami magkasundo.

“Mommy I don't want a sister anymore.” Naiinis na sambit ni Kuya Neil,natapos na akong ayusan ni Yaya kaya patakbo akong bumaba nang hagdan para ipakita kay Mommy ang pinili kong suot.

I always like to shop for what to wear and what suits me,I want one day to make a beautiful gown that suits me.

“Mommy, is it nice?” I said with a cute voice,nakita ko naman sa peripheral vision ko si Kuya Neil na mukang nasusuka.

“Everything is up to you Nicole..” Saad ni Mommy dahilan para matuwa lalo ako.

“I don't want a brother anymore.” Pang gagaya ko kay Kuya Neil.

“Daddy,Nicole annoys me!” Pagsusumbong naman ni Kuya kay Dad.

“Gagawa naba tayo nang third baby Lia?” Our dad giggle.

“Yes!” Sabay naming sambit ni Kuya,I just rolled my eyes at him.

"Why are you late again?" Our teacher said with soft voice,I just shrugged my shoulders.

Recess na namin kaya agad akong lumabas para intayin sina Kuya Neil,at Kuya Hasher.Nang makita ko sila ay agad akong tumakbo para yakapin si Kuya Hash.

"Hi Kuya Hash!" I smiled widely,dahilan nang paglabas ng dimples ko.

"Hello Cassy,maliit kapa rin." I looked at him badly,he just laughed at me and walked away.

Parehas talaga sila ni Kuya Neil,i really want a sister na talaga hindi ako nakikipag usap sa mga kaklase ko kase gusto ko sila yung unang makikipag kilala,katulad ng mga nababasa ko.

Nasa gitna na nila akong dalawa nang biglang may nadapa sa harap namin,agad kong tiningnan si Kuya Neil ng masama dahil alam kong tatawanan nya 'to.Alam kong tu-tulungan naman nya pero mauuna pa yung tawa bago nya tulungan ganun ang Kuya ko.

"Don't you dare to laugh Kuya Neil." Mariin kong saad,kita ko ang pag pipigil ni Kuya Neil pero alam kong matutuloy parin 'to.

"I can't." He laughed out loud,I looked at Kuya Hash,he was just looking at his notebook as if nothing was happening.

Agad naman napatingin yung batang babae kay Kuya Neil na patuloy parin ang tawa,hinihila kona ang damit ni Kuya dahil mukang iiyak na yung kaseng edad ko lang.Morena sya pero makikita mo sa muka nya ang kagandahan,gusto ko sya maging kaibigan kaso mukang hindi na..dahil kay Kuya.

"Astrid!"Suddenly the girl appeared in front of us,mabilis nyang itinayo ang batang morena na ngayon ay umiiyak na.

"May masakit ba?diba sabi ko sayo wag kang tatakbo?ayan tuloy ang dumi muna." Bakas sa boses nya ang pag-aalala,mabilis namang tumahan ang batang morena at tinuro si Kuya na ngayon ay tahimik na.

"Tinawanan nya ako Ate.." Pagsusumbong nya,I'm ashamed now.

"Umm..Sorry sa Kuya ko,y-you can use my handkerchief to wipe the dirt."

"Okay lang.." Sabay alis nila,ang soft ng boses nung kapatid ni Batang morena!tapos ang ganda!bumagay sakanya yung maputi nyang balat.

I immediately faced my Kuya Neil,who was still staring at the two of them.

"Susumbong kita kay Dad,bad boy." Saad ko pero mukang wala parin syang pakielam, napatingin naman ako kay Kuya Hash na ngayon ay sa iba narin nakatingin.

"I like that soft girl." Sabay na sambit ni Kuya,at Kuya Hash.

"Yaya,I'm home po!" One of our maid immediately came to me,para kunin ang gamit ko.

"Mommy..i have five stars today!tada!" I said happily, mom immediately squeezed my cheek where my two dimples were.

"You always did a good joob honey..kayo ni Kuya mo."

I was just in my room while sketching a gown on white paper,I like sketching clothes or gowns,because I want to be a fashion designer one day.

When I finished, I took the designs from my drawer and slowly put the glitters on the gown I made.It took me a few hours to design the gown,because I want it to be beautiful in the eyes of my mom and dad,I don't want it to mess up in their eyes.

When I finished I lifted it up in the air and smiled widely,I put it aside first and tidy up the mess I made.

"Mommy!Daddy!Look at this!" I shouted happily,they laughed at my shouting and I quickly kandong to my dad.

"Wow,ang talented talaga ng baby girl namin.." Sabay halik nila sa pisngi ko.

"Mag bihis kana Cassy, pupunta tayo kina Tita Bea mo kase birthday ni Kuya Hash." I quickly nodded and hurried into my room because I was going to look for something to wear again, I always want to leave because I always want to fix myself.

Time is fast because today is feb 25 Kuya Hash will be 7 now and Kuya Neil will be 7 in May 15,at ako naman sa June 14 will be 6.

When my birthday comes,gusto ko ako mismo ang mag sketch nang gown ko.Mom still doesn't allow me to handle a needle because she says it's dangerous for me,so i respect her decision.

Excited na ako mag 17 dahil dun pwede na akong humawak ng karayom,at tela.Sa ngayon hanggang tingin lang muna ako, gusto ko pang pag-aralan ang bawat detalye nang pagtatahi.Para pag dumating ang araw na yun,alam kona ang gagawin ko.

I chose the  casual white dress that mommy gave me,It has a strawberry design that really suits me.It also suits my fair skin.I excitedly looked in the mirror to see if it looked good on me.

When I saw myself in the mirror I smiled because I looked beautiful in what I was wearing,I immediately pressed my dimple out of joy.I looked at my hair and immediately took the white ribbon from the drawer, I only gave him a half cock and I felt even more beautiful about myself.

"Happy birthday Kuya Hash!" Sabay yakap ko sakanya,the venue was only at their restaurant because it was so big that's why dito nalang ginanap.

"Thank you Cassy.."

"Pogi mo ngayon Hash,pero ngayon lang dahil birthday mo..pero pag birthday mopa bukas pogi ka ulit." Kuya Neil smirk,I just ignored him and went to my other cousin who was also here.

"Wow Nicole,dalagang-dalaga ka sa suot mo ngayon ah.." Agnes said,isa sya sa mga kaibigan ko at talagang close na close ko sya kesa sa iba kong pinsan.

"Pero yung utak isip bata?" Maarteng tanong ni Ellis,this is one of the reasons why I don't want to be close with them,because of their bad behavior.

"Sakanya isip bata e yung sayo?Utak sabaw." Agnes teasing Ellis,Ellis's face suddenly became angry because of what Agnes said.

"Oh no..Agnes let's go." We ran to the back of Tita Tisha's restaurant to escape from them,hingal na hingal kaming tumatawa ni Agnes dahil hindi parin namin makalimutan yung muka ni Ellis.

Agnes' family is also one of the famous ones because of the good businesses that their family runs,my dad and his dad are friends so I met him when they came to our house.And because they are also one of the famous businesses here the Davion family is also known them because they are also involved in a business.

"I really don't like Ellis,wala namang masama ang ugali sa Fuente bakit yung isa mukang sinalo lahat." Naiinis na sambit ni Agnes,nagkibit balikat nalang ako sakanya.
