Your eyes flick over to Ink before looking to dream unsure. You felt you could trust Dream it was the same feeling you had with blue just something about them made you feel... safe. Ink on the other hand something about him seemed off his smile seemed too forced, no, forced wasn't the right word just something about it was off. Ink looked at you with curiosity that also seemed wrong.

Your eyes scan over all four of them before your eyes land on ink again. "I don't trust you..." everyone seemed shocked at your blunt statement ink's eyelights turned into an exclamation point and question mark. Your wings spread out and the feathers puff up slightly making you look bigger than you are your eyes trained on him as if seeing if he would make any moves.

Ink matched your stare before pointing at himself "me?" he didn't seem phased by your outburst, at least not to the same degree as the others. Dream was the first one to snap out of it getting up and walking over to you clearly nervous and he places a hand on your shoulder.

Upon feeling him touch you all the unease that you felt went away and your feathers smoothed themselves out along with your wings folding neatly against your back. You look up to Dream as he begins to speak "we could talk in the kitchen... just you and me... if that will make you feel better" you gave a small nod as a response getting up and following him to the other room.

Once the two of you step in you look over to dream. Looking at Dream you felt nervous you didn't understand most if not all of what had happened to you 'what if he thinks I'm dumb... no he seems nice... like blue and pap..' you feel dream place his hand on your shoulder as he gave you a look of sympathy. You Take a deep breath to calm yourself and ask "what do you want to know?"

"Well blue only told us that you said you came from a portal so where did you come from, why did you come to this au, and how long have you been able to make portals?" you only had a vague idea of what a portal is since blue had said something about it but you weren't sure "are portals those big glowy things?" Dream looked at you confused and mumbled "big glowy..." realization washed over his face and he confirmed that it was a portal.

 Him confirming that it was a portal only served to provide you with a litany of questions 'where do portals come from, what do they do, and what's an au' were the biggest ones you had and the answers would most likely leave you with more questions, so you decide to ask.

After a while, you finally run out of questions, and not only did you know a lot more about the multiverse but you also had a better understanding of what had happened to you because of it. Dream had been Patiently explaining everything to you and gave you time to ask more. "Do you have any more questions?" he spoke in a kind and calm manner that made you feel... safe in a way. You took a moment to think before replying "Not any that I can think of... at least not right now" Dream seemed happy with your response "ok! Now I need you to explain what happened to you." you nod your head feeling more confident.

Taking a deep breath you begin to speak " I woke up in a void with no memory of where I was or how I got there I didn't even know my name..." you hang your head and hug yourself "I was terrified it was so dark and empty. After a while, I just gave up I didn't want to move or speak... so I didn't. I tried to imagine what the world would look like. I imagined a snowy forest I wished I could be there."

you look back up to Dream thinking about it made tears well up in your eyes as you continue to speak "A bright light came from behind me and when I looked over to it I saw a portal. I didn't know what it was at the time but I felt somehow connected to it... I just thought that it was because it was the only other thing in that void beside me... I tried to touch the portal but my hand went through it. It was scary but, I was more scared of staying."

As you speak your mood noticeably gets better "I stepped into the portal. On the other side was the forest... it was beautiful there was so much light it wasn't empty. For a while, I just walked around enjoying it all, until I started to hear voices I started to run trying to find them until the voices stopped and I realized I was lost. I started to call out to anyone and blue found me."

You felt calm as you finished your story; you were out of the void, you had friends now, and you felt safe. Thinking about all that had happened you remembered your nightmare what if it's taken away from you again you couldn't go back, you couldn't let it be taken from you. The thought of waking up in the void again made tears blur your vision "I don't want to go back..." you spoke in a shaky voice as tears started to flow down your cheeks.

Dream immediately went to comfort you. He wrapped his arms around you to which you immediately clung to him. You buried your face in his chest and continued to cry as he started to speak "Hey it's ok, you don't have to go back. It's ok, it's going to be ok..."

Dream continued to speak softly to you telling you things will be ok until your cries became nothing but sniffles and hiccups as your grip on him loosened. Dream quieted down as you did before speaking once more "feel better now?" sniffling once more you look up to him and nod your head letting go of Dream. Dream lets go of you and you rub your eyes.

You hear footsteps coming closer and turn to see blue coming in. when blue sees you his eyes widen and his smile drops. he rushes over to you and starts to speak with concern evident in his voice "Y/N? ARE YOU OK" you sniffle again and hug Blue mumbling "my head hurts..."

Blue gives Dream a concerned look. "I'll get them some water." dream spoke before you hear water running. Blue moves and sits you down at their dinner table before sitting down next to you and rubbing circles on your back. You look over to Dream as he turned off the water before walking over to you and handing you the glass. You try to thank him but your voice only comes out as a shaky whisper Dream gives you a small smile in return.

You quietly sip your water as dream expanse to blue what happened. You had been silently listening as the conversation went from explaining why you were crying to Dream volunteering to teach you how to use magic and make portals before coming to where you were going to stay.

"...We can't let them go back to that void." Dream stated firmly to which blue quickly agreed. You smiled as you took another drink of water; you were grateful that they cared even though you hadn't known each other for that long. "Y/n can stay with me and Ink" dream offered. You grew slightly uncomfortable at the mention of Ink you still didn't trust him.

"I don't know, they don't really like Ink..." blue spoke, he had been making an effort to keep his voice down because of your headache that had died down at that point. "OH THEY CAN STAY WITH ME AND PAPY!!" blue's eyelights had turned to stars making it clear that he was excited about it. "That could work... what do you think y/n?" dream asked as they both turned their attention to you.
