"What?!" Kelsey yells through the link and I jump, scared she'll be mad at me.
"I believe he's my mate.."
"Girls, is everything okay?" Isabella says catching my attention.
"Yes ma'am" I try to avoid eye contact so she doesn't think anything is wrong.
"We're just talking Luna, I didn't mean to interrupt another lesson. I'm sorry."
She smiles sympathetically at me, she knows I lied to her, but I can't tell her the truth. Especially when I don't even know the truth..
"Girls, no more, you need to learn this before Francis starts your training, which will be sooner than you think. And Chyenne, please come speak to me after lessons"
I nod my head and look at Nichola. "It'll be okay" She whispers making me jump. "She's actually not as scary as she seems, I promise."

"Chyenne, are you okay? Francis and your mother said that you would pick up what I'm teaching you girls the quickest because you learn so fast, you seem so distracted."
I feel a twinge of pride knowing my mother and alpha both think so highly of me but all I do is sigh. "Yes ma'am, I'm sorry I'm getting so distracted .. There's just a lot, with the move and someone here but I will focus more on studies, I am sorry Luna" I look down at my bare feet to avoid eye contact.
"Is that someone Jacob?"
I automatically snap my head up "What?"
"Everytime Jacob walks into —"
She gets interrupted by a sweaty Jacob and a beaming Kaela. Kaela smiles at him and I feel my heart breaking and almost start to cry.
"Chyenne! What's wrong lovebug, where are you?!" Kelsey tears through my 'wall' I have up to avoid the empathy links.
"Nothing bug, I'm okay, I am with the Luna, please be in my room when I get home, I need to talk to you." I say trying to calm down, still shaking.
"Luna, may I please be excused, my mother would like me home to help with supper and I need to talk to my sister." I say keeping my head down, looking at my tan legs.
"Of course love, ill see you at early morning lessons tomorrow." She smiles at me, almost like she knows what is wrong.
"Yes ma'am, I will be here."
II run out of the house avoiding all contact with Jacob. When I get to my house I burst through the door almost knocking my sister down.
"Love bug, you're crying. What happened?" She hugs me but I know her eyes have started to get darker out of anger.
"Jacob.. he.. he was with Kaela" I manage to choke out.
She pulls my head toward her and kisses my forehead and storms out of the house.

I hear someone knocking on the front door from my room.
"Chyenne! Please get the door." I hear my mother call from the kitchen.
"Yes ma'am" I say walking into the kitchen to get to the door.
"Do you know where Kelsey is love bug?" She looks up from whatever she was reading to look at me.
"No ma'am, I was upset earlier and I told her why and she stormed out of the house" I say as I walk out of the kitchen to get the door.
"Who is it?" I yell through the door.
"Chyenne, may I please speak to you and your mother" It's Isabella. I tense up, I hope she doesn't tell mother I have not been paying attention to my studies.
I take in a deep breath and open the door. I look up to see a smiling Isabella and a bubbly Nichola.
"Hello Chyenne" Nichola smiles at me, with a glimmer in her eye.
I smile at both of them and move so they can come in the house.
Isabella looks at me "About Jacob and Kaela.."
I feel my breathe catch in my throat as soon as she says Jacobs name. " I.. I don't know what you're talking about, it did not bother me." I'm lying and she can tell, I know it.
"Oh but my lovely, I believe it did.. He's your mate and you know it just as much as I do, and besides, Kaela has a mate."
My mother walks in from the kitchen and my sister walks into the house at the same time..
My mother freezes in the door way of the kitchen. "Who's her mate?"
"Why don't you ask her mama? She's known" I know Kelsey is mad at me but it isn't fair she told my mother and mates mother that I know and didn't day anything..
My mothers eyes gleam when she asks who.
Isabella now steps in. "Jacob."
