Dark Path

Chapter 1

I'm Danny Richard,I go to Hill Falls High. I am pretty much alone. I have no friends and I am always alone.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. It's 5:30 in the morning. Im tired and I don't feel good. Sadly my mother will make me go to school because she works all the time and my dad is looking for a job because he got fired but he was almost never home, he said he was looking for a job but from the look in my mom's eyes, she knew he was doing something else.

"Come on Danny, we have no time for this" said my mom that stood at the foot of my bed.

"What the..." I started but I looked at the time
6:55. I have to leave in 10 minutes.
I sleeped in!

"Danny!!" She yield

"Ya I'm getting up" I said

My mother stomped out of the room.
I actually got out of bed and put some simple clothes on. Dark jeans with a red t-shirt. I tied up my hair and cleaned my face. I took my bag from the chair in the corner of my room and ran downstairs.

"Your late" said my dad

"I know" I said

" I guess I'll have to take your phone away and wake you up in the morning" said my mom

"Mom, we all know you don't have time for that" I said

"Well hey, Im trying to be a good mother" she said

"Then stop reading those books about being a good mother and be yourself" said my dad

"Ya do what dad says" I said

"You two are the best" she said and pick up her vibrating phone.

"I am so sorry guys but they need me now" she said

"It's fine, I'll make sure Danny goes to school and I will o to my job interview" said dad

"Ok thank you ad good luck for your interview" she said and left

"Job interview" I said

"Ya" he said

"What's the job?" I asked

"Photographer" he said

"Wait, are you serious?" I asked

"Ya" he said

"Dad isn't that the thing you wanted to do your whole life?" I asked

"Yup" he said

"Wow, well good luck. I got to go to school" I said

"Alright, bye" he said and I headed out the door with a granola bar in my hand.

I got in the bus and sat alone. I plugged in my earphones in my phone and put some music because the ride was long. After a few stops I realized we were going by a road we don't usually go by. The bus stopped at a corner and two people got on. First there was a guy that walked further too the back and then, a girl which... sat with me?

"Oh hi can I sit with you?" she asked sweetly, of course all the new kids start like that. 

"Oh yeah of course" I said

"I'm Katya" she said

"I'm Danny" I said

"My brother and I are new" she said

"Yeah I can tell" I said and we both let a little laugh. 

"My brother's name is Lex" she said

"Oh is it short for something?" I asked

"Yeah it's short for Alexander" he said popping his head for the seat behind us.

"Have you been listening too us?" asked Katya with annoyance in her tone. 

"Yup" he said with a smirk. 

"You freak" she said and we laughed.

"So you must be Danny" he said

"Yeah, how did you guess" I said knowing he listened when I told Katya

"I'm amazing" he said

Katya and I looked at each other and started laughing, of course it was to trow him off. 

"Oh haha very funny" said Lex and he sat back down in his seat behind us.
