*Mira's pov*

"Mira hey hold on!" I hear someone call out as soon as I make my way out of the gymnasim from gym class. I turn around to be meet by Ethan who is cutting his way between other students making his way towards me with a delightful smile on his plump lips.

Before I can even turn the corner of the hall as an attempt to get free from Ethan. I feel his hand circle around my wrist slamming me against the dark blue lockers grab me. My eyes fluttering shut bracing myself exactly how I used to do when dating him when he'd hurt me.

"What have I told you before about trying to hide Mira?" He questions quietly making me open my eyes seeing his hurt filled one's that are fixated on me.

"What about you your hiding and in you big sports star of the school title when really your just a abusive fucking asshole to everybody." I snap to him making his eyes fill with anger before his grip tightens against my wrist.

I push his chest with my free hand attempting to break free, but before I know it I hear a gut wrenching sound of snap as if it's fire wood burning. My arms shoots up into pain, making him let go as I shake my head trying to not think of the pain that I'm encountering.

"You wonder why your dad left you? It's because your a worthless bitch!" He spats before getting lost in the sea of students that weren't even sparing us a glance.

I push myself between students minutes before I reach one of the schools exits and I'm crashing out the doors. My ankle boots clapping against the pavement as I just run, forgetting that I should be staying in school and telling on Ethan.

Fifteen minutes later I'm coming through the front door of the house, and leaning against it as sobs rack through my body in pain and sorrow of everything that has happened to me in the week in a half that Ethan has gotten back into town.

"What are you doing here?" I ask spotting my brother and Colby who are sitting in utter shock of the sight of me crying. I don't cry often, let alone in front of people. But honestly, I didn't know they we're here they weren't supposed to be back until tomorrow afternoon.

"What happened, baby girl?" Colby asks rising to his feet with Sam mirroring his actions and looks of worry upon their faces.

"Ethan." I mummer as Colby cups my cheeks in his soft hands gently and skims his thumbs across my cheek wiping my fallen tears as I begin to calm down at the presence of the most important people to me in my life.

"Wait-Why's your cheek swollen?" Sam asks eyeing my left cheek in curiosity as Colby is tilting my chin up to take in the swollen area a bit more along with him.

"Did he hit you?" Colby asks dropping his hands from my face and letting them drop back down to his sides. I nod my head slowly, seeing no point in lying to them. I can't ever keep a secret from these two, they can sense when I'm keeping something from them, and vise versa between the three of us.

"My wrist hurts, I believe he broke it. It hurts quite a bit." I inform them as I hold up my bare left wrist considering I'm wearing a tank top and shorts.

"We'll take you to the ER to check it out." Colby says before Sam even can. Sam grabbing his car keys and leading me out the front door with Colby in tow close behind.

"I'm sorry for not telling you he was back." I say as we half way down the road, heading to the hospital.

"Mira we knew we didn't think they'd allow him back into the same school though. That's why we didn't tell you." Sam informs me as his knuckles turn white due to his tight grip on the steering wheel.

I wouldn't of noticed? He leaves three house down from our own, I think I would of noticed his bright red Camaro being back in the driveway and not in a garage downtown awaiting for his avail back.

"That was fucking stupid." I mutter rolling my eyes, not wanting to listen to what they have to say to me anymore.
