Finding Ryuu

’I had spent hours looking. The sun had just started to set and it was now becoming hard to see. I was about to give up when I thought of a new idea. I let my wings fall out and once I again I heard the tearing of my new clothes. I hope that Hauk could make another outfit I was starting to fall in love with it. I had formed the proper hand sign and I was now looking through Ryuu’s eyes. I saw trees flying past me and let out a sigh of relief. This only meant that he was okay and was looking for me as well. I continued to fly back in the direction of the compound, well at least that's what I hoped. I turned the eye off and flew back to the ground. I tried once again to call for Ryuu, this time so only we could hear. I continued to slowly walk around the forest. Leaves and branches crunched below my feet. Night came soon after and I tripped on a root from a large oak tree. I remained on the ground and just watched the forming stars. A few shooting stars passed but I didn’t wish on them. Wished where empty promises. They never happened and I couldn’t give myself false hope. I was living off of it for three years and I had to face reality. I just hoped that I would be able to handle it.

I was about drift off until I felt something nudge my leg. I quickly shot up from the ground in a panic. My heart started to race and sweat started to run down my face. "Whose there!" I yelled into the night but was met with silence. I was nudged again and this time I pulled out a kunai hidden in my boots. "Kiyoshi relax its only me. I’m sorry I had to leave you." I turned my head to the sound and in the darkness I could see Ryuu. My wings went back and I ran up to him hugging his neck. I started to sob and his tail wrapped around me. I had been finally hit with reality and I wasn't ready to face it. He placed me on his back and I held onto him as though my life depended on it. Right now it did. "Their gone. Everyone.. Gone," I managed to talk in between the sobbing. "I know. It will be all right. I’m here. Hold on we have to head back," He took off into the sky with my clinging to his neck.

It only took a few minutes before we appeared at the house. Zabuza and Haku where nowhere to be found. I was now done crying but my eyes where probably red and puffy. The lights where on inside so I got up from Ryuu and we went inside. I didn’t know what to expect. But being lifted from the ground and almost squeezed to death wasn’t really on my mind. "Kiyoshi! Your okay! I’m sorry for Zabuza. He never meant to hurt you," I pried myself from Haku's grip and walked over to Zabuza. "Zabuza I suggest that we forget what happened and make sure that it never happens again," Zabuza scowled but nodded his head. I decided to go to bed by Ryuu’s side.  I had brought a blanket to keep me warm as I snuggled under Ryuu's neck. His tail wrapped around me for protection and I soon found myself drifting to slumber. I yawned and kissed Ryuu's head. "Please never leave me. I love you Ryuu" I had fallen sleep after that unable to hear his words. "I love you to my hime. More then you'll ever know."

Next chapter will be a couple year time skip
