The disadvantage of working too hard in a job that doesn't quite appreciate you enough is the tendency to overdo it just a bit on the days when the work isn't busy, slowly consuming at the soul and rendering the body useless.

Kim Roksu had chosen to take a slow relaxing weekend for the first time in a few years. His two boyfriends had also chosen to do so but in an act of defiance, Roksu had taken off just one day earlier than their time off started. He'd rationalized, correctly, that the pair of them would keep him far too busy over the weekend to really be able to read and if he wanted to read this trashy set of novels he picked up on the way home, he was going to need his lovers to be far away and stuck at their own shitty jobs.

It had been worth it too. He'd been able to spend his time reading and luxuriating in their shared apartment with the trashy romance novel with a shitty plot about someone getting transmigrated into a fantasy world where they had to face off against a shitty villainess to get togeteher with an equally uninteresting prince.

Roksu liked the prose though and the world building was solid enough. The protagonist was likeable as well and while he did think that the prince seemed a little bit thin with characterization however, he was likable enough as well. He was able to enjoy his time reading without any regrets. He took a shower, wrapped a towel around his waist, and picked up the third novel to finish off the trilogy before immediately dozing off.

He wasn't all that invested in the villainess' backstory, but that was all the chapter focused on. Besides, he'd enjoyed himself plenty today, and there was no need for him to spend another moment awake when he could be napping. When he woke up, it would probably be to his own real life romance and he was pretty satisfied with that.

So of course when Roksu stirred from his nap to a weight on his chest, he expected it to be one of his two boyfriends. The weight felt a little too light to be one of them but he was barely awake anyway so it didn't really matter who it was. No one else would be here except for them. Without opening his eyes, he wrapped his arms around–

–who the fuck–

Roksu's eyes shot open and he stared with shaking pupils at the very female figure asleep atop of him, red hair falling across sharp features. Roksu nearly let out a yell and pushed her to the ground, but he thought better of it.

A dangerous stranger had snuck into his home and curled up on his chest before falling asleep. Chances were she was a psychotic stalker or abusing too many drugs to realize where she was. A quick examination of her leaned towards the former. She didn't have any of the obvious signs of a drugged out victim of addiction. Although he could smell a whiff of alcohol on her breath.

Above all, he felt that she looked... familiar. Which was odd, all things considered, because he was sure he'd never seen her before. She had a memorable appearance and besides, foreigners tended to stick out. Especially ones with such an eye-catching appearance.

With a growing feeling of anxiety building in his gut, Roksu reached for a set of handcuffs left on the bedside table and very cautiously went about the process of cuffing the unconscious woman to the headboard while guiding her off of his naked chest. He felt a tinge of guilt doing so but she was the one who had trespassed into his home and he really didn't want some vicious psycho running freely before he figured out how the fuck she'd gotten in here to begin with.

Sharp brown eyes opened and glared at him, a petite but powerful leg kicking out and hitting him square against the chest as the woman awoke, struggled against her bonds, and let out an impressively long string of curses.

"Who the fuck are you?" She demanded, face alight with pure rage.

Roksu felt a bit wronged. He was the one who had been napped on and kicked and she was looking at him like he was the psycho.
