Part 6

It was most certainly going to be a good day. Soohyuk smiled brightly out into the sunlight.

After the important discussion Soohyuk had with his two favorite men in the world, Soohyuk felt quite a bit of optimism for the future as well. Things were definitely looking lucky and he was more than happy to accept all of that luck.

With a bright mind and brighter thoughts, he left on a small shopping spree. He needed to get a few things for their princess. Although it was his rare free weekend, he drove to the closest store and bought all the things Cale might miss.

He had a mental checklist to work out from all the little things that Cale had mentioned missing from home and he could hardly keep a clear conscience from keeping her waiting any longer.

If he had to be honest, the last shopping spree was done in a rush. They visited only a few clothing stores and clothes were tried on too quickly. She bought many gorgeous dresses that looked so amazing on her but he felt a bit bad that she didn't have time to explore as much as he would have liked. Although, there was a small incident when she had chosen underwear. Cale didn't know how to put on and close a bra...

They did manage to get through that awkward scene, with a lot of insults. Soohyuk chuckled and rolled his eyes at the memory. Cale had been refreshingly shameless about her conundrum while also maintaining all of the dignity of nobility. Really, it was a level of arrogance that only Cale could pull off and it was one of the many aspects that Soohyuk found quite charming.

Though, today was a different type of shopping. It was hard to find the exact wine taste she yearned for, but after a few hours of shopping he managed to find something similar. At least from her description and the bits he remembered from the novel he skimmed. He really hadn't managed to read past the first novel, despite his interest in learning more about Cale he just couldn't stand those novels.

Having lived with her and getting to know her so personally, Soohyuk could easily recognize a slanted narrative. Was Cale undeniably the sort of person who could and would cause trouble? Absolutely. But she certainly had more depth than the two dimensional characterization of the novel presented. The villainess of the novel was cruel without any sense or reason and knew no boundaries.

Soohyuk felt that the novels lacked context. They never asked why Cale might hate the protagonist or what was going on inside of her head. In fact, everything was neatly summed up with the word villainess as though that was a personality trait.

Soohyuk frankly thought of the novels as downright slanderous now that he'd gotten to know her.

He continued his shopping spree while pushing away thoughts of the trite novel now that he had no need to remember aspects from it. Finding the perfect silk sheet and pillows might've ended up a little budget unfriendly, but he didn't care as long as she could be happy.

Besides, he quite felt that she deserved to sleep in luxury and comfort.

During a small shopping spree, Soohyuk received a notification coming from Jungsoo. After checking a cute message consisting of [Hey, Daddy let's play tonight~ ;) It has been quite some time. I got dongsaeng to agree too~! I miss your touch], he couldn't help but chuckle. The older man knew that Jungsoo hadn't managed to convince the Roksu just yet. It was an obvious but cute lie.

But it was true that it had been quite some time. They really hadn't done much at all since Cale's arrival. With one thing and another, there just hadn't been the time. They had planned to make time on the weekend that Cale arrived but well that all fell through.

He missed all the mischief the three of them got up to and he definitely wanted to feel how good they felt. With a renewed eagerness to return home, Soohyuk searched out the remaining items on his list.
