Chapter Two - *SUMMER HOLIDAY*

Page 11- _Dance with the past_

"Yay!, summer break is finally here!," screamed Rintaro, talking to Aigasaki alongside Takahiro as they walked home, and others to the train station. It had been three months since last talking to Keisuke coupled with different means of Takahiro trying to get Rintaro to fall in love with him. Although she had rejected him time and time again, it didn't seem to have any effect at all.  Her thoughts on something changing had vanished, leaving everything normal as they still acted like friends. The July sun blazed hot when Takahiro asked something out of the blue.

Takahiro.... _Umm.... so Rin, what are you doing this weekend?_

Rintarõ.... _Nothing in particular. I just cancelled my plans of going to a limited edition sale with Aigasaki so i'm free._

Takahiro.... _I was wondering if you could go on a date with me tomorrow._

Rin felt a blush rise from her neck but along with an audacious excitement. She could see herself getting her limited edition product. The fact of going on a date with Takahiro ringed less in her mind. Her eyes sparkled with a gleaming face as she looked towards him.

Rintarõ.... _Ok sure!, just tell me the time and where we are going_

Takahiro.... _I can't tell you where because it's a surprise, but i'll come pick you up at 9 in the morning._

Soon after he left, Aigasaki exchanged a significantly raised eyebrow with Rin. "Whaat!!..., it's your fault i have to go on a date with someone for my sale,” claimed Rin as she tried to defend herself. At some point they had reached their own stops and went their separate ways. When she arrived, Takashi was already home sheathed in a wistful sad face.

Rintarõ..... _What's the problem?, why the sad look on your face?._

It took a trifle amount of time to explain.     The whole summer he wouldn't be in Hokkaido since he had received a nice job offer in Switzerland, moreover his marriage would happen there. Takashi wanted to be married in Japan but since his fiancée was in Switzerland, he thought it would be easier to pay his sister's expenses. Considerate of what was best for them, Rin cleared any lingering sadness. She couldn't attend her own brother's wedding while piled up with school work.

Accompanying Takashi to Asahikawa airport, she sadly saw him go. Although he had left money to get her through the whole summer, she still wanted savings for the upcoming field trip souvenirs, so a part time summer job was set in her mind.
Back home a recap of an earlier event drew to her attention.  Where exactly would they be going out for the date, she thought.   "No need to overthink it now, i've got a special sale to catch tomorrow!,” she exclaimed,  locking all doors, windows and going straight to her room. As she lay on her bed, stashed moments of Keisuke sprung from her mind.  Tossing and spinning her head around, a sudden rustle in the trees made her calm down.

Rintaro Haruno was quite the whimp when it came to sounds at night, but need be she'd brace herself in front of others. Oblivious to the windy air outside, she wrapped herself in a twin pink blanket and slowly closed her eyes.

Needless to say from those clear golden eyes, she had slept so comfortable, that satisfaction oozed out when morning came. The clear blue sky entangled with hollow clouds spawned rays of light that illuminated her room through the chintz in her purple floral print curtains.  Listening to the amusing melody of the chirping birds, she zoomed in on her watch and took a quick glance. 8:45am it ticked, moving seconds forward.
"I see maybe i should go to sleep, .....wait what?!!!!,” her voice screamed to a shrill as the domant thought of being late clicked open in her sealed forgetful mind.    "Didn't Takahiro say he was coming at 9, oh God why me?".   Slipping on her flops, she quickly dashed to the bathroom and took a shower. Back in her room indecisiveness got the best of her. After half a dozen pair of clothes, she found the right one.

A Paisley empire bodice coral bodycon dress, along with trendy peach twill shoes. Time hailed 10:15am but Takahiro hadn't arrived yet. The sale was at 12 and if she was late, she'd have to say goodbye to her limited edition figure and pillow. She sat for an hour twiddling her thumbs until she decided to go on her own. A step on the door, her cell phone rang. She picked it up and to her surprise, the person least of all expected to call was on the line.
