It's a warm September morning, and Stacey're getting ready for her first day of freshman year!

Stacey: You're not a dork, Stacey. You're a cool kid, and this year is gonna be so cool.

Suddenly, Stacey hear a voice from behind her.

Elijah: Morning, Stacey! Who are you talking to?

Stacey: Elijah! Hi. Sorry, just figuring out my first day of school look.

Elijah: Really? As I recall, you spent a good two hours debating exactly this issue last Tuesday.

Stacey: Well, yeah but....I decided I'm gonna audition for the school play, so I need to wear something that will impress the other theatre kids.

Elijah: Didn't you say that last year?

Stacey: I might have. What's your point?

Elijah: My point is, you made that huge fuss about memorizing that monologue and perfecting that song, but then you decided not to try out because you were too shy.

Stacey: Okay but....that's all in the past.

Elijah gives Stacey a skeptical shrug.

Stacey: This is a new year, a new school, and a new me! The year where I finally find my real friends! Which is why I need the perfect outfit!

Elijah laughs, but nods.

Elijah: I get it, just don't make us late, 'Kay? If I get too many tardies, Coach Shaw can bench me for a whole game.

Stacey: Okay, okay. I'll see you downstairs.

Her twin waves and exits, shutting the door behind him. She looks through her closet one more time.

Stacey: I must have something that will show the world I'm ready to make my mark.

Stacey give herself a once-over in the mirror to wear polka-dot shirt and blue jeans.

Stacey: Looking good, Quinn. Look out, Berry High! Here comes Stacey Quinn!

Outside....

Stacey: Okay, okay! I'm ready! Sorry for making you wait.

Elijah: Don't worry about it. You're fine.

Stacey: Well, what are we waiting for? To the bus stop!

Stacey hoist her backpack onto her back and dash off toward the curb.

Elijah: Stacey! Wait! You forgot to zip--

But it's too late. She is halfway across her neighbors lawn when her backpack flies open, sending all her new school supplies flying!

Stacey: Damn it!

Stacey crouch down to pick up her stuff while her twin chuckles. She is drying the dew off of her graphing calculator when someone taps her on the shoulder. She looks up and see her next door neighbor holding her box of Incredibles pencils. Her heart skips a beat.

 Her heart skips a beat
