I walked around the school happily, handing out invitations to everyone I knew. I was so exited because many people have already told me they can make it. This is gonna be the best birthday yet, I'll probably end up with like 10 new best friends by the end of it.
I walked confidently to the group of popular kids and handed them their invitations. "Of course we wouldn't miss it crybaby" the popular girl told me. "A-actually my name is-" she cut me off before I continued "Can't wait" she said, then left. I couldn't belive people were actually coming. The day of my party came and I have never been so excited in all my life. I got ready and ate my birthday pancakes I had made for myself. To make the time pass by I fixed up some the decorations and laid out snacks for my friends to eat. The clock had finally hit 2, but of course I didn't expect anyone to come exactly on time. Many minutes passed by. I looked at the clock, 2:43 pm. Maybe they just have things to do right now. But they told me they could make it? Well maybe they live far from my house? Or there could be traffic. Ya that's it, traffic. Don't worry, they'll be here. I start to eat some food while I wait. This whole time I've been eying my cake, I can't wait to eat it it looks so good. I look back at the clock after a while, 3:15. They should be on there way by now. I here a knock on the door and quickly rush to the door. "Here you go mam, your mail". My smile slowly fades, it was just the mailman. I thank him and take my mail inside, not a single birthday card. Maybe it's a cruel joke on me, whatever. I start to play with balloons, eat more food, and scroll through my phone. Not a single message. I look at the time, 4:02. My eyes start to water, did no one remember my birthday? Did they all just blow me off. I go upstairs and cry my eyes out. My mascara running down my face. No one showed up. I hear my stuffed animals talking. "Don't cry madam, it's your birthday". I know it's all in my head. "I'll cry of I want to". This is the worst birthday ever. I go back downstairs, ouffit changed, makeup touched up. Not a single person. I look at the pastel ribbon decorations, I was so exited. Now I'm sad. Why would they do this to me. 5:58. Clearly they weren't coming. I cried my eyes out all night. The next day at school, I see the popular girls laughing at me, how could I be so stupid. Stupid pity party. Pity Party...
