Ava
Ava kept catfishing. The more she was on the internet, the lower her grades dropped. Her mom and even her brother got worried. But she shut it all out.
She thought it was hilarious and entertaining. It kept her mind off Kyle and the accident and besides, everyone treated her like royalty now, not wanting to make her upset. She was a car crash survivor after all.
Until that all changed one day.
It was March now, and Kyle still wasn't back. Her friends had dropped her when she got a Twitter, but she didn't care. She really only cared about the internet. She knew how dumb that sounded, but nobody knew what she was doing anyway. So what could happen?
She rushed home after school to get on her computer, not even saying hi to her mom. She went upstairs and locked the door.
She logged into her account. She thought it was her fake account, @marvelousmacy.

Tom: no. go shove your catfishing up your long straight hair.
What??
Ava: what?
D: I'm not stupid. you've done this to me before
A: uhh I think you're confusing me with someone else
D: ava danan. I know who you are and what you do.
D: watch out, girly. you've got a lot coming to you.
She quickly signed off of Instagram and shut her computer. It was probably a joke. Just a joke, she repeated.
Her mom walked in. "Sweetie, would you like some dinner?" She asked, looking around Ava to her quickly-shut computer. "I have news."
"Um, no," Ava said, not sounding sarcastic as much as nervous.
"About Kyle," Mrs. Danan said suspiciously. "You'll want to hear it."
Ava looked around the room. "Sure. Um, okay," she said. "Be down in 3 minutes or so."
"Be there this time," she said. Her mom gave her one more suspicious look and shut the door.
Ava let out a lo-o-ong breath. Just a joke.
Probably one of her ex-friends messing with her. Yeah. That's probably it.
"Ava!" yells her mom. "I'm serious! Come down here!"
Ava shakily walks down the stairs. She's so off her game, she doesn't even notice that Kyle is sitting at the dinner table.
