6. Mrs. Arellano

Finn and I walk inside the house.
"So you and Robin are like on not bad terms anymore." He says.
"Yeah I guess." I say.
"That's good." He says.
"He's not a total dick." I say. He laughs shaking his head.

———— Robins pov

I walk inside the house. Mom smiles at me as I walk him.
"Hola ma." I say.
"Hi mijo." She says.

"Just so you know Y/n's coming over later so we can continue this project." I say.
"Okay you and her finally good?" She asks. I shrug.
"Yeah." I say with a smile. "I guess she's not all that annoying." She smiles.
"She's a lovely girl." She says.

I go upstairs to my room and lay down staring at the ceiling.

I decide to go buy us snacks.

I walk downstairs.
"Hey mom I'm going to go buy snacks." I say.
"Okay be safe." She says.
"I will." I say walking out.

I start walking to the store. I think of what snacks she might like.

I see a weird van parked. A masked man walks out and starts to make his way towards me.

I clench my fists as he comes up to me.
"What?" I ask as he's standing in front of me.
"Can you help me?" He asks.
"With?" I ask not really wanting to.

"Can you help me grab my keys? They fell on the floor and I have weak knees." He says.

My eyes glance to the store. It's close.

"Yeah sure." I say.
"Thank you." He says. I follow him to the van. I see black balloons. I don't say anything.
"Where'd they fall?" I ask.
"Right there." He says pointing.

I get on my knees and look under the car. (don't make that weird) I don't see anything.

"Are you sure?" I ask sitting up to look at him.
"Yes. Look again." He says. 

I look back and still don't see them. I sit back up only to have balloons pushed in my face. I start to punch unable to see.

I hit him a couple times, before feeling him pull my hair. I yell as I try to hit him. He pulls my mouth open to spray something inside. Everything goes black.

Gwen and Finn both come home at around the same time.
"Gwen!" Dad yells running up to her. Finn and I both instantly look over at them confused and scared.

I hate when he hurts them.

"What did I do?" She says scared.
"Why did the cops come to my job?" Dad yells shaking her shoulders. At this point Gwen is crying.
"I don't know!" Gwen cries. He hits her and I look away.
"You're not your mother!" He yells again.
"I know!" She yells back.

I can feel my hands shaking softly. I'm worried.
"Your dreams are just dreams! You're not seeing things!" He yells hitting her again.
"I know! I know daddy!" She yells.
"Say it!"
"My dreams are just dreams!" Gwen yells as tears pour down her face.
"Again!"
"My dreams are just dreams!" Gwen yells shaking as she yells.

The phone rings. Dad let's go of Gwen and starts to walk to the phone. Finn and I move out of his way so he doesn't yell at us next.

"Yes?- Hello.- Oh yeah sure-." He says. He pulls the phone away from his face. He looks over at us. "Y/n they want to talk to you." He says.
"Uhh sure." I say confused on who it can be.

"Hello?" I ask taking the phone.
"Hey mija." The voice I recognize as Robin's mom says.
"Oh hi Mrs. Arellano. What's going on?" I ask.
"Did Robin go to your house for the project?" She asks.
"No?" I say. I look over at the clock and notice it's almost 6. "I was about to leave to your house." I say.
"He went to buy you guys snacks when he got home from school. He hasn't come back yet." She says.

"Oh my god." I mutter realizing what might've happened.
"It's not like him to not come home." She says now sounding very worried.
"Yeah." I say thinking.

Every kid knows to come home when they're supposed to, because of The Grabber.

"Is Finney there?" She asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"Can you ask him if he knows where Robin might be?" She asks.
"Yeah, of course." I say.

I pull the phone away from me while turning to Finn.

"Finn." I say. He turns to me.
"Yeah?"
"Do you know where Robin might be?"
"No?" He says. He turn to the clock. "Aren't you supposed to be with him soon?"
"Yeah but his mom called and he's not there." I say.
"Oh." He says. I can hear the pain in his voice. He's his best friend.

"He doesn't know." I say to Mrs. Arellano.
"He's a fighter. How did he take him?" She says crying softly.
"I don't know." I say barely above a whisper.
"Thank you though." She says.
"Call me if you figure anything out." I say.
"Okay bye." She says.
"Bye." I say hanging the phone up.

"What happened?" Dad asks looking at me.
"Our friend is missing." I say.
"Robin?" Gwen asks quietly.
"Yeah." I say nodding.
"Oh no." She says. Dad walks off without another word.

Hopefully he's going to go help all the other parents in the search. Probably not, but hopefully.

A little bit later and I go to lay in bed. I can't help but worry. He's the strongest person I know, how on earth did The Grabber manage to take him?

There's a knock at my door.
"Come in." I say. Finney comes in holding a pillow and a blanket.

"Hi Finn." I say.
"Hi mind if I crash on your couch I don't want to be alone right now." He says.
"Come on in Finn." I say understanding what's happening.

He lays down.

There's another knock.
"Come in." I say. Gwen walks in.
"Oh you're both in here." She says.
"Yeah." I say.

"Well uhh are you guys okay?" She asks.
"I don't know." Finney says.
"He'll be fine. He's strong." I say not knowing if I truly believe it.

"Do you still get the dreams?" Finn asks.
"Yeah?" Gwen says. I know where he's going with this.
"Can you control it?"
"No."
"Have you tried?" He asks.
"Yeah but it doesn't work." She says.
"Then try again." I say. They both look at me.
"I'll try." She says.
