You were an uncle, a father,
A brother and a son
We were nearly speechless
Since the first stage had begun
A departure from your neighbourhood
Did not tear us apart
The card table is now missing
The king of blue hearts
The remaining hearts shattered
With eyes on an empty space,
Especially the hearts of
The queen, the jack and the ace
Our teardrops fall
On new blue and white flowers
Our tribe shall never forget
All those joyful hours
We shall continue to strive
And do our very best,
Even as we grieve
During your peaceful rest
We are thinking of you
And your love and children too
There are prayers for us
Through the blues without you
