Eddie and I sat down at our spot and he pulled out a joint, sparked his lighter, lit the end and then inhaled."Here" he said passing me the joint "Thank you" I said taking it from his hand and taking a hit "I can't believe it" I said passing it back to him "First Will and now Barb, something is going on and I've gone an uneasy feeling about it" I said holding his gaze, he reached his free hand over the picnic table to hold mine "I'm sure they will find Barb soon" he reassured me whilst drawing shapes on the back of my hand with his thumb, with the mixture of this and the full effects of the weed hitting me I found myself getting more relaxed, I hadn't realised how tense I had been for the past few days.

"Eddie?" I said locking eyes with him once again "Yes sweetheart?" He said whilst smiling at me "Can we go, I don't feel like going to school today" I said and a look of excitement washed over Eddie's face "YES!" He practically shouted making me giggle, he grabbed my hand and we ran back out through the school, out to my car and we sped out of the parking lot.

I don't often skip school so it makes sense that Eddie is overly excited "Where are you taking me?" Eddie said looking over at me "You'll see" I replied whilst smirking at him, I pulled up to a gas station "Go get us some snacks whilst I fill up the tank" I said whilst handing him 20 dollars "you really do spoil me" he said with a big cheesy grin before walking off into the gas station "Dont forget to pay for the gas to!" I shouted after him.

I was filling up my tank when a familiar car pulled up next to me "Y/N!" He said running up to me "Steve?" I said with a confused tone "Where's Nancy?" I asked "I dropped her off at the library, I'm really worried about her" he said pacing whilst running his hands through his perfect head of hair "Hey, Hey, relax" I said walking up to him, I wrapped my arms around his waist and his folded around my shoulders "Thank you I really needed that" he said sighing into the hug "You need to go home and chill out" I said whilst pulling away from the hug "call me tonight okay?" He said getting back into his car "Wow did king Steve just ask me to call him?" I said whilst laughing which caused him to chuckle "talk to you later" he said whilst driving off in the direction of his house, 'well that was weird' I thought to myself "Y/N I got your favourite!" Eddie said whilst running up to me snapping me out of my thoughts "Ugh you know me to well."

It had been 15 minutes since we left the gas station when Eddie became fidgety "Are we there yet?" He said with his feet up on my dashboard, I rolled my eyes at him, "Almost" I said whilst laughing at his childish behaviour. That was until I stopped at the arcade then he became super excited "Yay" Eddie practically shouted as he scrambled out of the car and towards the arcade, Eddie instantly went over to his favourite game Dragons lair and I played the game next to it which coincidentally was my favourite game Donkey Kong which I currently held the high score on.

Eddie and I spent a while in the arcade before middle schoolers started pilling in which signalled that school was out which was our cue to leave. "Where are we going now?" Eddie asked as we got back into my car "You'll see" I said starting up my engine and pulling out of the arcade parking lot.

We drove to a field a little away from Hawkins, there were a few cars  scattered around and a large white board was propped up on one side. "Wow I've never been to a drive in before" Eddie said looking around in awe "Yeah it's one of the ones left" I said grinning from ear to ear, he had always wanted to go to a drive in movie even if it was a generalised teen cliche.

After the movie had finished we drove back to my house, my dad's car wasn't in the drive so I knew he must be at the station still Eddie sat down on the couch and flicked on the TV to a random comedy show, "Wait here, I just need to make a phone call" I said to him before walking out into the hall, the phone rang a few times before he finally answered "Steve hey! I just wanted to check in after earlier, how are you feeling?" I said worried that I already knew the answer "I'm freaking out Y/N! After I dropped Nancy off at the library I went to check on her later and I caught her with Jonathan Byers!" That I was not expecting "I'm sure it'll be fine Steve" I reassured him as much as I could "How do you know Y/N!" He snapped at me but I understood that It wasn't me he was mad at "I think you should sleep on it Steve, take some time to think about the situation" I said calmly and I heard him sigh on the other end of the phone "You're right, I'll talk to you tomorrow Y/N" and with that he hung up the phone, something in me knew that he wasn't going to let it go that easy but at the same time I clung onto my false hope that he would...
