Skylar And Her Mate

chapter 6- the talk

Before he finds put who his mate is.

I have just arrived to skylars party with my mom, dad and aria my little sister. Part off me has been dreading this day in case she is not my mate. The other part of me wanted it to come quickly so I can find out if she Is my mate.

We all headed towards where the drinks are being served. However just as I got there I got a whiff off vanilla and strawberry. It was so strong making my mouth water.

I took another big whiff and new straight away my mate was here. Even though I was so nervous about who my mate will be I could not help but follow the smell.

As I got closer I noticed how aria (my sister) jumped on someone backs where the smell was coming from.

"Happy birthday bestie." I heard my little sister say excitedly.

Standing there in front off me was MY beautiful mate skylar.

A loud growl escaped my lips making everyone stop what they were doing and look at us.

"MATE, MINE" I growled.

The happiness that flooded through me knowing skylar is my mate was strong. I was hit with an overwhelming sense off joy, happiness and pride knowing she is mine. She is so beautiful.

Back to coming back inside to the party !

As we walked back inside from our small talk outside I noticed her dad, alpha kane heading towards us.

"Alpha" I said bowing in submission respectfully.

My heart beat speed up a little worried he will still not be happy myself and skylar are mates. However what I do know is that they will all have to get over it as she is mine and I will fight for her.

I noticed how he took some deep breathes to calm himself down before speaking. He asked skylar to leave while myself and him talk  privately. Skylar was hesitant so I told her it will be fine for her to go.

After they walked away kane started to talk.

"I know you will look after her." He said.

"Of course I will. I always have and I always will she means just as much to me as cassie means to you." I said softly knowing he is not speaking to me as an alpha but as her father.

He sighed softly.

"I know. Before when I got upset about her finding her mate, it was not because your her mate I guess it just came as a shock that she found her mate so quickly. I knew there was a huge chance her mate was here today but she is my little princess and It just scared me that i will not be the only man she looks up to as well as the twins anymore." He said honestly.

I nodded in understanding.

"Just because she found her mate does not mean she will push you away now. She is a daddies girl we all know that. " I said with a chuckle.

He chuckled in agreement.

"If you hurt her I won't hesitate to kill you jacob." He said and I could tell he was serious.

"If I hurt her I would expect nothing less. However you won't have to worry because I would never hurt her, especially not intentionally." I said honestly.

He looked at me and nodded.

"I know." He said.

"Now I want this daughter and father dance with her." He said with a chuckle as did I.

He shook my hand and we headed towards them.

As skylar and kane started dancing my mom and dad a long with my little sister came towards us. My mom had teare in her eyes making me look at her worriedly.

Im very protective over my mom and my little sister. Anytime I see them upset it drives myself and my wolf crazy.

"Mom, what's wrong." I asked worriedly.

I heard my dad chuckle a little making me confused as to why he I'd laughing when my mom is upset. I was about to glare at him when my mom spoke.

"My baby is growing up." She said with a sob.

I felt relieved it was only that and let out a little chuckle myself.

I wrapped my arms around my mom and kissed her forhead. I'm already a lot taller then my mom.

Just then my little sister dived into my arms. I wrapped my arms around her waist holding her up. Just then I felt tear drops on my shoulder from her making me stiffen.

"Why are you crying little sis." I asked softly.

"I'm happy for you. These are happy tears silly." She said making me laugh.

All of a sudden I heard a click. I turned around and seen my mom with a camera taking a picture of us making me chuckle and shake my head.

After a while I noticed how the twins came back into the room making me stiffen. Aria feeling me stiffen and still in my arms looked up at me worriedly.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly. 

Just then she noticed the twins and precious. Precious looking upset with them still and them two following her looking like lost puppies making me almost laugh.

They started heading towards me making me pit aria down and put her behind me in case a fight started out. Even though I know they will most likely kill me that does not mean I will go down without a fight.

However I really hope we do not fight as I know it will upset skylar and not only that but they have been best friends since we were born.

They came up towards us and suprisingly they just nodded at me but never said a word. I nodded back knowing in other words tomorrow we are going to be having a talk and they do not want to ruin Skylar birthday.

After skylar stopped dancing with her father it was the twins turn. One by one they danced with her and even aria got a dance with her as they laughed and enjoyed there dance.

Lastly we had another dance together before it was time to go home. I pulled her close to me by the waist and took in her scent. I could feel everyone staring at us but I ignored it just taking in the moment with Skylar in my arms.

We made small talk but mainly soaked in our comfort. After the dance ended she looked up into my eyes as mine kept going to her lips and eyes. Slowly we leaned in and kissed and yet again it felt like the first time we ever kissed.

Suprisingly we heard no growls from everyone. It was either that or i was to lost in the kiss to realise.

We headed over to everyone and kissed one last time goodbye before we all headed back home.

I tossed and Turned all night just wanting her in my arms and thinking about the talk I will have with the twins in the morning.
