chapter 25- you want us to have a baby?

1 year later!

This year has gone so fast  it's been a year since I became a doctor and jacob became beta to our pack. Everything is going great however we still do not have children. I have got to the point where I actually want children. 

I have not spoken to jacob about it because I'm not sure if he is ready or not.

Right now I'm at the cafe with aria and precious. Aria and her mate are finally sorted but that a story for another day. She has been through so much.

We are sat in the cafe and the boys are watching my neice and nephew. Myself, precious and aria have ordered a hot chocolate. The rain is pouring outside and it's quite cold.

I'm wearing a grey jumper with grey trackey bottoms. I wont lie this is not even my jumper its Jacob's. I love stealing his jumpers.

"Skylar are you okay?" Precious asked.

"How do I tell him I'm ready for a baby?" I blurted it out making aria choke on her hot chocolate.

I patted her back as she starts coughing. While precious just gapes at me.

"Erm you tell him?" Precious more asked then stated maming me give her a deadpan  look.

"I know that precious but what if he is not ready and I am." I said with worry.

"Then you wait till you are both ready." Aria said softly.

I nodded my head in yes. I'm just worried about how I tell him I'm ready. I dont want to embarrass myself but I dont want him to feel that because I said I'm ready he has to be ready.

We changed the subject and talked about anything and everything. It's rare we get to do this so it's really nice when we do. I miss hanging with them a lot.

"Baby are you okay?" I heard in my head from the mindlink with jacob.

"I'm fine love. Are you?" I asked softly.

"Good and yeah I'm okay my love. Are you sure your okay?" He asked.

"I'm sure. I got to go as I'm talking with the girls." I said softly.

"Okay my love. I love you." He said softly.

"I love you too baby." I said softly before closing off the mindlink.

Precious sighed all off a sudden.

"Let me guess both your mates where also checking in on you both." Precious asked rolling her eyes with a smile.

We both laughed and nodded our head in agreement. After a short while longer off talking we headed to the car and set back off to precious house where the guys are.

We all drove in my car as we felt it would be easier then taking 2 or 3 more cars. Aria sat at the front with me while precious sat in the back.

On the drive back we all talked more but I stayed more quite to busy thinking about if i should talk to jacob about us having a baby or not. He has not talked about us having a baby and even though i hint at it he changes the subject a lot which is frustrating.

I pulled up outside precious house and her got out heading straight inside. Instantly I was attacked by two little monsters called my neice and nephew who instantly wrapped there little arms around me hugging me.

Jacob walked up to me and kissed my lips with a smile on his face that I love. I picked up the twins and walked into the kitchen. 

We all started talking about our days when finally it was time for myself and jacob to go home.

We got in the car with jacob driving. The drive home was silent with me to lost in thought and I could feel jacob trying to reach into the bond but I had closed it off.

We got out the car and headed inside our house. I sat down on the sofa as jacob followed me.

"Baby what's going on?" He asked softly.

"I-well erm what do you think about us having a baby?" I asked well more like stuttered.

He looked suprised but then a blank expression appeared on his face.

"Don't joke about this stuff skylar." He said in a serious voice.

I looked at him confused.

"What? Why would I-" he cut me off before i could finish.

"Precious already joked about having another baby with the twins and  I know your doing it to me skylar seeming as you have been out with them today. I will be in my office if you need me." Jacob said before walking out leaving me a little upset.

I frowned to myself feeling a little hurt. I got up and followed jacob to his office.

"Jacob I'm-" I got cut off yet again by jacob.

"Sorry? Yes I know skylar." He said sounding irritated.

"Would you stop cutting me off. I'm not sorry because I have nothing to be sorry for. I said making jacob glare at me. I meant what I said love. I want us to have a baby."I said more softly towards the end.

I opened the bond to let him know I'm serious. His eyes widened and a huge smile came to his face.

He jumped up and picked me up spinning me around.

"You really want us to have a baby?" He asked.

"I do" I said before slamming my lips on his.

After that we none stop tried for a baby. We tried for a full month but I finally started getting symptoms.
