'Again.' I heard, I was in the room that looked like an exercise room on a spaceship, I wiped the sweat from my forehead.
'Give me a moment.' I asked, panting heavily. 'Please.'
'Listen.' Replied a masculine young voice, I sighed in slight irritation. 'You won't get any breaks during the battle. You're going to need to be in the best possible shape and trained well, we both know that. You know I'm doing this out of concern for you. And for our Peope, you know I care about all of you. You know how much.' As the voice said this, it softened. I sighed again.
'I know' I admitted more softly, and I had the impression that he nodded. 'Sorry. I want to help as best I can, it's just...it's hard.'
'I know' he repeated, I took a sip of water from a bottle standing on the floor. 'It wasn't easy for me to learn it either. Again? Your parents would be proud if they saw you know.'
I felt a little choking in my throat and nodded, going back to practising with the daggers in my hands.
