I opened my eyes. I was in bed, the sun was shining, I didn't fuck it up, nothing went wrong. This is gonna be a great day!
It went perfectly, I wonder if joel feels the same way...he's not awake yet though.
Was he drinking last night? I can't remember. What if he was and he's like what the fuck?
What if he thought it was shit and he dumps me? What if- ok shut up sonny, you're over thinking.
Joel woke up.
Oh shit this is the moment.
"Want me to make you breakfast? I'm not a good cook but I can try"
Ok so he wasn't drunk that's good. Why did I even think that, I'm so weird. Wait, better answer.
"I don't want to be any trouble, it's ok"
"No, your not. I'm just warning you I might burn it. I was just being polite, I don't care your having breakfast whether you like it or not"
I laughed "ok"
He got up "I'll call you when it's ready"
"Ok"
My phone started ringing.
"Hello?"
"Sonny, right?"
"Yeah, who's this?"
"Gary, from last night"
"Oh hey, what's up?"
"Wanna meet up with us tonight"
"Sure, what time?"
"Midnight, I'll text you the details"
"Ok, see you then"
I just lay for a bit. Drifting slowly back to sleep
"Sonny!"
I jumped "coming"
I quickly got ready. I walked downstairs
Bullshit he can't cook!
I looked at him unimpressed
"What?"
"Oh I'm joel and I can't cook, you fucking liar"
He laughed
"Ok, so I can cook a little, sit down"
I sat and he sat beside me. Omg this is the best thing I've ever tasted.
I finished it "holy shit"
"I know" he said pleased with himself.
He threw all the plates in the dish washer.
He sighed "so I guess you have to go home now?"
"Yeah I guess"
"You should come back round later"
"Yeah sure"
"I'll walk you half way"
We walked round.
We got to the bushes. "Can I just say that last night was amazing"
I smiled.
He kissed me "see you later?"
"Yeah, see ya"
I was walking home when it hit me. Oh god mum! She is not going to let this slide, I'm going to have to tell her.
I'll deal with it when I get there.
I can't get over Joel's smile, and how happy he was to see me there, I never really make people feel that way.
I opened the door slowly and tried to sneak in.
"Sonny!" Said my mother, I jumped.
"What?"
"Where have you been?"
"Ahh nowhere"
"Want some breakfast?"
"No I had some thanks"
"Where did you have breakfast?"
"Same place I've been"
she gasped "have you been doing what I think you've been doing?"
I shrugged
"Come into the living room everyone else is in bed"
We sat down.
"Did you lose you virginity?!"
I just kind of looked at her "no"
"Don't lie!"
"Fine I did"
"Tell me all about it! Who with? How'd it happen"
"Ok, there's something I need to tell you, but I Don't know how"
"Well...what is it?"
"I don't know how to tell you"

"You didn't lose it?"
"I did...but not...with a girl"
She thought about it for a second. Her eyes widened "oh"
"Your gay?..."

"Hmm..ok"
"Joel, is actually my boyfriend"

"Why don't you bring him round" she said and handed me the house phone.

"Well, he's already met you, remember?"

I typed in his number.
"How do you think the others will take it?" She asked
"Amy already knows, she's quite fond of him"
He answered
"Hello?"
"My mum wants to meet you"
"Hasn't she already met me"
"Yeah, but in her words, not in a boyfriend way"
"Well ok, should I come round now?"
"Yeah"
"Ok see ya"
Hung up.
"He's on his way"
"Why did you tell Amy before me?"
"She walked in on us kissing and was like what? So I had to explain"
"And she likes him?"
"Oh yeah, she fancies the shit out of him"

"Yup"
"I didn't really get a good look at him"
"Unlucky you" she was about to say something when the doorbell rang.
I went to get it, I opened the door and he stepped in.
"This is joel" I said and gently pushed him towards my mother.
She shook his hand
"Nice to meet you"
"Yeah, you too" he said kind of shyly.
"Amy's right about you"
I face palmed "he knows what Amy said, idiot"
"Oh...that's awkward"
He laughed and blushed a little.
"Big muscles"
I shook my head and sat down
"Thanks" he said and sat down beside me.
He put his arm around me.
Amy came downstairs, she stopped in front of us. "Hey joel"
"Hi" he said and waved.
"Your hairs really nice today"
"Oh, jump off his dick amy" said my mother
"Mum!"
"Oh sorry, please jump off his dick amy" she said cheekily
Amy rolled her eyes and walked away.
"Listen though, I don't know how your dads going to take this dear"
"What do you mean?"
"Um..he's not so good about the whole gay thing, ya know hunny?"
"I could just not tell him then"
"No you should tell him, then you can both sleep here sometimes"
"Well, when should I tell him?"
"Not today"

Someone came to the door, I answer. It was Devon.
"Hey devon"
"Hey sonny, you wanna do something"
"Hmm, maybe later"

"Sorry, it's just Joel's here"
"Oh yeah.." He shouted in "joel! Come here"
Joel slowly walked towards the door
"Hey devon" he said confused
He grabbed his collar "if you ever hurt my sonny I will fuck you up,do you hear me?!"
He quickly nodded, he looked terrified.
I grabbed devons arm and pushed him away "will you chill?"
He shrugged "just warning him"
"Yeah haha...thanks" I said slowly.
"Just, be careful sonny, can't let your heart get broken" he glared at joel and turned away "see you later"
"Yeah...bye" I closed the door and we both sat down again.
"Who was that?" Asked my mother, confused.
"Devon"
"What'd he want?"
"Was just giving joel a bit of a...warning"
"Oh, I see"
Joel took my hand, he's so damn cute, I just kind of smiled at him.
My dad walked down the stairs and entered the living room, he looked at us all confused and noticed I was holding Joel's hand and smiling.
He looked at me weirdly, I saw him get quite angry...I've never seen him angry, he's not really a big part of my life, doesn't talk much.
"Sonny what the fuck?" He asked, his temper kind of starting to show. I've never heard him swear...ever.
"What?"
"I don't understand...why are you holding his hand"
"He's my boyfriend" I said confidently
"Bullshit! Don't talk that crap to me!"
My mum turned him around and slapped him
"Don't speak to our son like that!"
"Are you hearing him?"
"Yes, I am..what's the problem"
"It's disgusting! How can you do that, it's not natural"

He sighed "I need sometime to think about this" he walked away.
I ran over and hugged my mother tightly. She looked pretty upset.
"I'm fine sonny"
"Don't fucking lie to me"
"I will be fine sonny, he's not going to give us up because of this and if he does, who needs him? We should be able to confidently be ourselves"
I smiled.
We all sat down again.
"Fuck, I should of married a girl" she sighed
"Yeah, maybe you shouldve"
Joel looked really scared, I could feel him shaking.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm alright! I'm just really nervous to tell my dad now"
"Don't be, I'm sure he'll be supportive, it'll be ok"
"I don't know" he said looking down.
"When do you plan on telling him joel?"
"As soon as I grow some balls, I'll get on it"
She laughed "I just love how happy you've been making my sonny"
He smiled "I love how happy he's been making me too"
"Kiss!" Said my mother, ruining the atmosphere.
"Fuck off!" I said and folded my arms, joel turned my head around "just kiss me" he whispered gently, before I could even respond, he had already began kissing me.
"Aww" sighed my mum.
Joel had to leave, my dad calmed down a little and was having a talk with my mother in their room. I'm not sure what Amy's doing, I'll go see.
I walked into her room
"Woah, sorry!" I said and left immediately. She was not alone in there..she was with..a girl?
Doing some stuff...she's only 11! I guess she's experimenting. I need a drink.
I poured myself some vodka and sat at the kitchen table.
She came in slowly "sonny?..."
"Yeah?"
She closed the door.
"Can I talk to you?"
"Sit" I said and pointed at the seat infront of me.
I took her hair down and started to plat it.
"Aren't you a little bit young to be doing this shit?"
"I was just sucking her titty"
"I didn't want to know!"
"Sorry"
"I get that your experimenting but seriously, if one of them catches you, your in some shit!"
"I know! I just wanted to see what it would be like"
"So, do you think you like girls more, or what?"
She took a sip of my vodka
"I haven't really tried anything with boys yet"
"Well there's time for that, don't worry"
"I think I'll probably like boys more"

"Woah, ok I see were this is going, just stop talking"

"Ask a boy to do stuff with me"

"Your fucking dangerous! Like calm down, act like a normal 11 year old"
I finished braiding her hair "ok sonny, I won't do anything"
"Good"
She hugged me loosely "your a good brother"
"Thanks"
"How are you and your boyfriend?"
"Good"
"Do you love him?"
"I guess"
"Your lucky"
"I know"
"The things I would do to that boy"
"Amy!"
"Ok, I'm sorry, I'll leave now"
"Bye"
She left.
I went into my room to grab my skateboard and bag, it's nearly midnight. Fuck me it's been a long day.
I headed out hoping I've found a reason to be happy after Joels gone.
"Hi sonny!" Said Gary
"Hi gary"
"Didn't your boyfriend want to come?"
"I don't know, I didn't ask him"
"Oh ok"
They were in a circle, smoking but it wasent a normal cigarette. I'm guessing it's weed, I hope they don't expect me to smoke it..
"Sit" he said making room for me, there was 6 other people.
I sat down and my phone started ringing
"Hello?"
"Hi" it was joel
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing, I was just bored and wanted to call, what are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm just out"
"Really? It's kind of late"
Someone passed me the weed, I didn't really want to smoke it, but I felt like they wouldn't accept me if I didn't, so I did, then I passed it.
"I know that, but yolo"
"Well, I didn't mean to disturb you"
"Oh please, you didnt"
Gary grabbed the phone of me, I obviously only heard his side of the conversation.
"Hey sonnys boyfriend"
"Gary!"
"Gary!!"
"You should come down here"
"Don't be boring"
"How's sex with sonny?"
"Gary for fuck sake" I said and pulled my phone off him.
"Sorry" I said to joel
"It's fine" he laughed
"See you tomorrow"
"Bye"
I hung up
Some girl nudged Gary "what did you say when you asked?"
"He said amazing, he sounded enthusiastic too"
I blushed a little bit "right or we skate boarding or what"
"Yeah, come on guys"
We all got up, it was fun. I went home at about half 3.
My mum woke me up at 6am!!!
"Why did you wake me up?" I sat up confused
"I just wanted to talk to you before school, plus your always late"
"Fuck me, fine" I got up
