Laxus x Reader: The Challenges

Chapter 2: How It All Began Part Two

When you were brought inside he sits you down in an open spot of the huge circle that everyone was in and Laxus sat beside you in the only remaining spot. You look around to see who's all here too. There's Mira sitting at the the beginning of the circle on the left side and your gaze continuing in a clockwise fashion scan to the right of Mira to see Erza sitting beside Jellal then Romeo, Wendy, Carla, Happy, Natsu, Lucy, Levy, Gajeel, Gray, Juvia, You and Laxus. Everyone is looking at you and Laxus, as Erza demands:

"Laxus what took you so long to bring (y/n) here?"

Laxus looks at you, then turning his attention back to Erza said:

"She tried to run away just like you said she would".

Erza and Mira both sigh and shake their heads in unison while looking at you with disappointment, as if they think you would come to this of your own accord.

You just interrupt them before they can speak:

"I want to leave, I was in the middle of drawing a picture, which by the way with the rest of my belongings are still at the guild, AND I was planning on going on a job today. PLUS, I know why you want me here, and I don't like nor want it."

You finished with crossing your arms over your chest in an attempt to look angry and tough, but instead made you look like a defiant, pouting child. Erza and Mira both look at each other and say in unison:

"To bad, so, sad. You are staying, weather you like it or not. AND THAT'S FINAL."

You continue to pout when Wendy shyly interrupts, "Um...Erza, Mira, could you please explain, what we are all doing here...? Please."

"Oh...Of course we can Wendy," both Erza and Mira say in unison, in what can only be described as a terrifying voice and mysterious air.

You start to think to yourself, 'This is starting to get a little creepy, the way that Erza and Mira keep saying and doing the same things at the same time.' 

Everyone turns to look with questioning expressions on their faces at the two mysterious and very powerful female wizards.

Mira decides to explains-thankfully without Erza:

"The reason why we have called you all here today is because we want to do 'Couple Contests' to see who the best couple is."

Closing your eyes you shake your head thinking, 'Knew it'. Romeo interrupting Mira's explanation, interjecting:

"But, none of us, that I know about, have a girlfriend or boyfriend except for Erza and Jellal, and that's with each other."

Mira and Erza then reply -in unison again and the added bonus of creepy smiles:

"We know, but we have been shipping all of you with someone else from the guild for a long time now. So, the person of the opposite sex that is sitting beside you will be your partner." Everyone looks beside them to see who their partner is, and immediately blushes, except Erza, Jellal and Mira. You stand up looking at the ground so your (h/l) (h/c) hair could cover your blush part embarrassment, part nervous.

You clenching your fists to keep them from shaking and to help rein in your embarrassment, and when you were sure that you were under control-no longer blushing- you look up at Erza and Mira saying in a calm voice:

"No thanks, I'm leaving." Starting to get past the embarrassment and getting angry you begin to sashay towards the door, patting yourself on the back for the dignified way you handled the situation. But, your victory was short lived by Laxus grabbing your wrist and pulling you onto his lap before you get more than a step away from him. You think, 'He just pulled me onto his lap. I am sitting on Laxus. Oh God.' 

And as if that wasn't enough to put your mind into a conniption, he then wrapped his big muscular arms around your upper body, pinning your arms to your sides. Having securely locked his arms around you to prevent you from escaping-which is what you are trying without success to do right now by wiggling around- he says to you in a calm voice:

"Now, now, don't get carried away, (y/n), hear them out. I am pretty interested in how this is going to end. And you are my partner, so you are not going anywhere."

Your face meanwhile is getting redder by the minute, it is currently as red as Erza's hair. You shake your head in hopes that the blush would go away. You think to yourself, 'Why am I blushing, why is my heart beating really fast, why am I reacting like this? Sure I have a crush on him but...' Your thoughts get cut off by everyones silence, you take a quick peek and find everyone staring at you. You looking down, ceasing to struggle against Laxus's hold, grumble in defeat:

"Fine I give up, you win, I'll stay. Not like I got much choice, what with you holding me captive.", your voice gets a little quieter at the last part.

Lucy ever the nice person and helps get the attention of you by pointing out:

"Hey Mira, what about you? You don't have a partner."
