Laxus x Reader: The Challenges

Chapter 3: How It All Began Part 3

Mira gives everyone her usual smile and says in her sweet sing song voice:

"I'm glad you asked Lucy, I don't have a partner because I am not supposed to have a partner, I will be the judge. I will be keeping track of all the points each couple earns."

Everyone gave Mira the always classic OH-I-UNDERSTAND-NOW look, and you and Laxus just rolled your eyes at the explanation and everyone's simple, easy exception of said explanation.

Mira continues with:

"Whoever gets the most points by the end of the contests will win two tickets for a week long vacation with each other wherever you want and whenever you want. Also you will receive money to spend for food and souvenirs."

Everyone gasps in surprise, sitting where they were for a full minute -even you- until Natsu suddenly jumps to his feet and yells in excitement:

"OK, I AM ALL FIRED UP NOW, LUCY WERE GOING TO WIN THIS!"

At that last part Gray bursts to his feet yelling at Natsu:

"LIKE HELL FLAMES FOR BRAINS! JUVIA AND I ARE GOING TO WIN!"

Natsu and Gray ram their foreheads together and Natsu continues the argument by yelling:

"YA RIGHT, ICE PRINCESS..."

Whatever he was going to say got cut off by Erza gripping their heads apart and slamming them back together again. Erza looking like she was going to kill the next person who moves without her say so, says in her you are going to die in a excruciatingly painful way voice:

"Would you two just SHUT UP, AND SIT DOWN."

Gray and Natsu immediately sit back down shooting death glares at each other, but not willing to die for their argument, stay silent. Mira breaks the tensed and fear filled silence by saying:

"I almost forgot to tell all of you..."

Everyone turns to look at her as she continued:

"...all of you need to pack up some of your clothes and belongings because we will be doing these challenges in the old Fairy Hills building out in the Forest, so everyone will be residing there until the completion of the challenges. No one will be allowed to leave until the completion of the challenges. Also..."

Mira changes into Satan's Soul Take-Over and says:

"...if any of you do not accept this, Erza and I give you an unfortunate punishment that you will never be able to forget and will fear for the rest of your live. UNDERSTOOD?"

Mira changes back to her normal form, everyone, except for you because you were frozen in fear and Laxus who felt unthreatened, terrified immediately responds in trembling voices:

"Aye, sir."

Mira with a smile says

"Good."

Erza finishing in that creepy fashion that Erza and Mira have developed:

"... you all need to stay with your partners when you are packing so none of you will run away..." Erza pointedly looks at you as she said that part, and then looks back to everyone else as she Mira finished with:

"...you all need to meet at the old Fairy Hills building by 7:00pm tonight."

It currently being 5:00pm causes everyone to start running from the house-except Natsu and Lucy who just rush to gather up Lucy's things- with their partners to gather their things.

You get up and start to leave with Laxus on your heels. Laxus looking at you says in his calm monotonous voice:

"Well this is going to be really interesting. Who's place should we go to first (y/n) or mine?"

At this you whip up your head, turned it toward Laxus with the most angriest glare and reply in an extremely frosty, clearly angry voice:

"We are going to the guild so I can get my things."

Laxus stares at you in confusion and says in an equally confused voice:

"We're either going to my house or yours we are not going to go to the guild, you heard what Erza said."

You sigh and say with an extremely depressed and not to mention stressed voice:

"I guess we might aswell go to your place first and on the way to my place we are going to the guild to get my stuff that you so rudely dragged me out of the guild, making me leave it behind in the first place. Erza said nothing about not being allowed to go to the guild before we are held prisoner-I mean competing in the competition for best couple."

He nods, with what you swear is amusement and admiration in his eyes, and leads you to his place, you start to drag your feet with your depression at your misfortune. Thinking, 'Why, just why. This is such bad luck. I hate Mira and Erza. No I don't hate them , I bet, no I know they are only doing this to me because they found out about my crush on Laxus. Wait a minute I'm going to LAXUS'S HOUSE! NOT ONLY THAT, HE'S COMING TO MINE!!!'
