The case was resolved, without a single trigger bomb exploding. In the end, the heroes won and protected this world yet again.
But, it wasn't just the pros and students. The one who really saved everybody...was Rody.
And although she loved to stay for a bit longer, (Y/n) and her colleagues had to leave Otheon. Japan was their home, and a place with much greater crimes; as pro-heroes, they had to move forward.
"Let's go." Endeavor walks ahead of his pupils and colleagues. "The flight's almost about to board its passengers." They walk towards the escalators, leading them to the gates.
Midoriya was walking beside (Y/n) along the way. "You didn't say goodbye to Rody?"
(Y/n) chuckles sheepishly. "I already got him a phone, and gave him my number. I think that, even if I try to, it'll end with me crying." She scratches the corner of her face with a finger. "Call it cold feet, but I just don't have the guts to do that..."
"If you're too scared to tell him about your feelings, just say that." Bakugou says teasingly. "What's the point in lying if you can't even come up with a decent excuse?"
(Y/n)'s face turns beet red. "Like you're one to talk!"
"Huh?!" Bakugou's attitude changes immediately. "I never lie! I'm the most honest person you'll ever meet, thank you very much!"
Midoriya laughs at how the two bickered with one another, his gaze kept on (Y/n). "But, it was really nice of you to buy him a phone, (Y/n). At the very least, you care about about him."
(Y/n) averts her eyes from the green haired boy. "Yeah..."
"(Y/n)!" The group stop walking, following their gaze to the source of the voice, Rody. He's dressed in his original clothes, walking with a crutch that was underneath his right arm. Given how his left leg was still healing.
"Rody!" (Y/n) runs up to her new friend. "But...why did you...?"
"You didn't actually think I'd let you leave without a goodbye, did you?" Rody winks at the girl, his smirk extending outwards when she sees her blush. "Luckily the hospital said I was good to head back home."
(Y/n) smiles right back. "I'm glad..." She doesn't notice that the others were already going up the escalators, giving her and Rody the chance to have a private conversation.
"Although, if I had died trying to stop those bombs, I would've become a total legend!" Rody says this loud enough for (Y/n)'s colleagues to hear, specifically her classmates.
"That's a morbid thing to say..." (Y/n) sweat drops.
"HA!" Bakugou huffs, not even a bit amused by Rody's taunt.
(Y/n) deadpans at her classmate, awaiting for him and the rest to disappear from her sight. She returns her eyes on Rody and asks. "So, hey...come up with any big plans in the future?" Her voice is genuine.
Rody looks out the tall windows of the airport. "Just going back to my normal life for now." He glances back at (Y/n). "Though I suppose...with all I've been through...who knows what's in store for me?" Pink jumps happily and chirps, portraying the confidence that he had in himself.
(Y/n) can see a change in Rody. A good change. At the beginning, he was uncertain and discouraged...but now, he was hopeful, and excited for what's to come in the future. She was happy for him. "Right..." She nods in agreement, respecting his decision to go at his own pace of development.
The intercom would then echo in the building. "We will now begin boarding for flight NNY224" (Y/n)'s smile falters at the announcement, not wanting to leave Rody so soon.
