Rody manages to buy clothes from a nearby store he visits, for both himself and (Y/n). Luckily, he doesn't get caught.
The two disguised themselves in casual clothing, blending in with the rural setting so that they can make their escape. Rody is now wearing a gray hoodie with shirt selves, followed by shorts that extend down to his knees. As for (Y/n), she had changed into a oversized shirt and leggings she found quite comfortable, along with a bucket hat that matched her leggings.
The two stand behind a wall, looking over at the school bus that's parked in front of a bus stop.
"Right." Rody grins. "That bus will get us to the border. And it'll be free if we ride on top."
"Oh HELL no!" (Y/n) barks. "We are NOT gonna try to pull a freebie!"
"We're wanted bad guys, remember?" Rody starts to walk towards the bus. "It'll be over if someone recognizes us." He reaches to the transpiration and simply hopes up on the roof, cruising on it ever so casually.
(Y/n) groans. "For fuck sake..." She tucks down on the rim of her bucket hat and chases down the bus. As she runs to the bus, she lowers a hand, hovering it above the road to activate her quirk. A small lump of soil that comes out of the ground propels her upwards as a result. She performs a front flip and reaches to the roof of the bus, now across from Rody.
"See? Freebie's not so bad." Rody gives her a cocky grin. "The delinquent life suits you well, hero."
"Just refer to me as (Y/n) please." (Y/n) scowls. "You saying hero makes my skin itch for some reason."
"Hence the reason why I say it." Rody shrugs.
"What? You..!"

Eventually, the two would hop off the bus, but were still within Otheon. Though they were close to the border at this point.
(Y/n) finishes writing her message to Todoroki and once again disassembles her phone, stashing it in her bag before she and Rody could made their next move.
"It's already sunset." (Y/n) looks over the corner of the wall she and Rody stand behind at. "Our best option right now would be to find a place to sleep at. For the night, of course." She tilts her head over her shoulder to make eye contact. "The following morning, we can find a way to get to the border." She notices the boy looking down, as though he's in a daze. "What's wrong?"
Rody slowly moves his head to where she stands. He hesitates. "Uh..." He awkwardly points at the phone booth that is not far from where he is. "—Do you mind if I make a call real quick?"
(Y/n) blinks. "No, of course not. Go ahead." She watches him walk to the phone booth. "Be careful." She warns. "Even if they didn't have anything about you on TV, you never know whether there's someone following us. Try to make it sure and don't look suspicious."
"Got it." Rody obliges, running towards the phone booth to make his call.
He lets the phone ring for a while, and to his luck, the person he dialed answered. "Stanley here."
"Yo, old man." Rody tries to sound as serious as he can be, considering his current circumstances.
"Is that you, Rody?" Talking to him was the owner of the restaurant he tends to visit, Stanley. He was also the same person to hook of all those side jobs he's took up on for the past few years.
"Yeah, sorry to call you out of the blue. But can you swing by my house and tell my little brother and sister that I won't be home for a little while?"
