I lay in the tall grass listening to all the birds chirp. My sister running around in circles around the trees through the grass. On this peaceful morning, there wasn't much to do. "Plop" my sister shillio shouted as she flopped down next to me. "Well, what now?" she asks. I just shrug. "Let's go to the edge of the forest," I respond excitedly after a few moments. "Now you know we can't do that." Shillio answers. I roll my eyes as she says it.
"Father doesn't have to know, " I said. " but he will find out sooner than later, and you know it." Shillio responds. "Why would you even wanna go to the edge of the forest? We have all we need here where we are" she adds. "I just want something different to happen or to see. I'm tired of having to do the same damn thing over and over again. It gets boring you know," I respond. "Promise me you won't go to the edge of the forest," shillio said. "Uhg fine, I won't go to the edge of the forest," I said rolling my eyes.
We start heading back to the village as it begins to get dark. And by the time we got back the sunset was almost faded away.
Once I knew for sure that everyone was asleep, I ran out of the village and to the edge of the forest. As soon as I got there, I saw all the lights from the human village flickering
In the night. Hours pass as I sit there and watch the lights, and listen to the silence of the village. All of a sudden, I start to notice that a sunrise is showing up, so I run back to the village, not to be caught.
