Elisa Havilah Garcia was born on May 11th, 2004 with her twin brother Elmer Luis Garcia, to Luis Garcia and Hecate, a Greek goddess of magic and pathways. The night Elisa and her brother were born, was a night to rejoice as well as to cry, for that was also the same night where a monster attacked, and killed their father, Luis Garcia, which is why Luis is Elmer's middle name. The moment the monster killed Luis Garcia, Hecate killed the monster, before disappearing to Mount Olympus with her children. There were three options on what she could do with her children, for she already knew their destinies, and the pros and cons to each choice. She could bring them back to the Earth for foster families, unknowing their true identities, hand them over to Camp Half-Blood knowing their identities, but not their future... or raise them on Mount Olympus knowing both. In the end, Hecate settled for hiding them away on Mount Olympus, and training her children without the knowledge of the Olympians, for if they found out her children would surely be sent away, for her children were quite important to the future. Elisa and Elmer were trained in their powers, magical creatures, Mount Olympus, Camp Half-Blood, and more. Elisa had the powers to do anything relating with shadows. She could manipulate and control the shadows, absorb things, as well as sensing and detecting if someone is evil or lying, and their potential and darkness within. Her twin brother Elmer's power was her opposite. He could manipulate and control the light, reflect things, and sense and detect if someone is good, telling the truth, and their potential and light within. They could both turn invisibility, have force fields, and do illusions, though they could both only create illusions if they were working, and pooling their magic together. With their powers being so similar and different at the same time, Hecate gave them the Yin-Yang symbol. The Yin(The Dark wave) went to Elisa, while Elmer got the Yang(The light wave). Elisa and Elmer were both very skilled at using their abilities, fighting, hiding, and spying. They were such great spies that their mother would occasionally send them off to spy on the other gods and goddesses, and sometimes on Gaea and Kronos as well.
When the twins were 8, the other Olympians found out about Elisa and Elmer, and their various spy missions. However, the three majors, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades weren't angry(Okay yeah they were a little angry), but they were mostly impressed how much the twins had been able to spy, and not get caught, even when spying on Gaea and Kronos. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades(Mainly Zeus) decided to not punish them as long as from now on they only spied on Kronos and Gaea, and the twins were supposed to go to Camp Half-Blood. They all agreed, so Elisa and Elmer went and joined the Hermes Cabin, since that's what all Demigods did who didn't know their godly parent, or who's godly parent wasn't one of the main 12 Olympians. Elisa and Elmer decided since they were spies, they should have code names, so to everyone else they were Lian and Alec Espiar(Espiar means 'spy' in Spanish, and their spies for Olympus). Mount Olympus had agreed on the fake names so they wouldn't be as easy to track down or trace. At Camp Half-Blood, Elisa and Elmer mainly kept to themselves(Bc that's how they are!). They trained together, and snuck around camp after curfew together, practiced sword fighting(Bc they both liked playing with swords), as well as target practice for Elisa's bow and arrow, and Elmer's spear. Chiron tried to help make them feel more welcome, and include them in more activities, but Mr. D would just do the opposite and try to get them in more trouble, but the twins didn't really care and just ignored him. Then Thalia Grace, Luke Castellan, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood all arrived at Camp Half-Blood, and while the twins tried to help, Mr. D forced them to stay back and watch helplessly as Thalia gave her life to save the others, and then was turned into a pine tree by Zeus. By the end, Elisa and Elmer were mad at Mr. D, because they knew they could have helped! They were so angry Elisa accidently broke her bow which she had been clutching so tight(She couldn't shoot the monsters because they were in too close of a range with Thalia), so she got a replacement. By the end of Summer, the Olympians decided that Elisa and ELmer had to stay at Camp Half-Blood, so the twin's lives were pretty much uneventful for the next year.
