you're out of the house, running miscellaneous tasks when a complete stranger sidles up to you with a big smile.
"hey! oh my god, it's been forever, how are you?" they asked, behaving like you've known each other for ages. confused, you study the stranger with a raised eyebrow, about to tell them they had the wrong person, but... you noticed there was something more to their sunny expression. something strange.
their pupils were narrowed, their eyes widened and watery and their movements were kind of jumpy. something had happened before you had been approached... and even though you were in a more isolated area, you got the feeling that someone was watching the interaction take place from somewhere beyond you.
you realized all of this in a matter of seconds. and after getting a confused (desperate) look from the new person before you, you responded...
