there's an old diner that hardly anyone goes to anymore.
with it's dim lights, slick floors and air that was slightly too
humid, it was a wonder it was still open, considering that
it seemed like hardly anyone ventured into it long enough
to order.

but considering you were out late, freezing, nearly starved, and
no other place was open at this time of night... it seemed like
you'd be another reason that the place remained running for
a bit longer.

it couldn't be terrible, right? looks can be deceiving, or however
the saying goes.
