Triveni is a small village at the end of Tanjuvur District. It's a village where everyone knows everyone and it's surrounded by another four more villages.

Shanmugham Gaunder and his family has been in Triveni for generations. They are one of the richest family in the village with many paddy fields  orchards and the largest rice mill in the surrounding area.

Shanmugham Gaunder is a sincere and hardworking man. He is married to his mama ponnu Pechi and together they have four children . The villages always speak highly of Shanmugham and and considered to be one of the luckiest man  for having a  set of boy and girl in his family.

His second child, Kavitha is a sweet and demure girl. She helps him around with some accounting for his business.
