Ch. 4: The Bet

Natasha's POV

Two Days Earlier...

"There's absolutely no way that you believe that Y/N is more likely to end up with Carol than with Wanda! Everyone in this room knows that Y/N is basically in love with Wanda!" I exclaim to the absolute idiot in front of me who clearly doesn't know anything about women. "Natasha, it's pretty obvious that Y/N is into Danvers. I mean come on why else would she ask her to come to hang out with us so much? Even you have to agree that there's no way that Y/N isn't over her little crush on Maximoff by now. She doesn't get nervous or anything around her anymore so it's obvious that she's over it, just admit that I'm right already." Stark states confidently and it has become that much more apparent to me that he truly is an idiot.

I am absolutely flabbergasted by his logic and as I look around at the rest of our friends I find that they are seemingly just enjoying the show. And then suddenly like lightning, I am struck with an idea. I look over at Maria and smirk in her direction causing her to chuckle and shake her head at me knowing that I am up to no good. Then I look over at Monica who also seems to catch onto what I'm about to do.

I look at Tony with a smirk painted on my face before saying "How about you put your money where your mouth is Tony, how about a simple wager?" He looks over at me with interest and says, "What kind of wager Romanoff?" Hook, line, and sinker. I think to myself causing the smirk on my face to grow. "I bet you $100 that Y/N and Wanda will end up together by the end of spring break."

He seems to mull over my offer before saying "And I bet you $100 that Y/N will not only end up with Danvers, but I also bet another $100 that Maximoff will end up with Vision." He looks at me with a cocky grin and I give him a confident smirk in return as I hold out my hand to him to shake it which he does. "Guys, come on isn't it a bit wrong to be betting on Wanda and Y/N's love life like this?" Steve says to both of us while crossing his arms over his chest and giving us a stern look.

I simply smile at him and say "This is more about me proving just how little Stark knows about women than anything else Steve. Because it's like I said everyone here, except Tony that is, knows that Y/N and Wanda have feelings for each other. Therefore it is more about proving that Tony is an idiot than it is about their love lives." Steve just sighs and shakes his head at me before shrugging in defeat.

"Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I got $20 on Nat winning this bet." We all look over at Pietro who is currently sipping on his drink while waving a $20 bill making me laugh knowing that the Sokovian boy also sees what a disaster his twin and our friend are when it comes to each other. "Well, Pietro I'll counter your side bet by saying that I've got $20 on Stark winning."

We look over at Thor holding up his own money and it makes me shake my head at the poor sap that was going to lose his money. In the end, Thor, Bruce, and Clint ended up betting that Tony would win, and Steve, Bucky, and Pietro all sided with me while Maria and Monica refused to bet since they knew how this would end. "Okay so now that all bets are finalized, how are we going to get the ball rolling on this Romanoff?" Tony inquired causing everyone to look over at me which makes me grin widely.

"How does everyone feel about joining us girls on our yearly tradition and going on a trip for spring break?" Everyone looked at each other before cheering and saying that they were in making me laugh. "Alright so Maria and I will bring up the idea to the girls which they will probably agree to and then Monica will make it so that Carol is also present," I say to the group making them nod at me and when I look at Tony, he has an eyebrow raised at me.

"Okay, but how are we going to see who ends up with who?" I chuckle slightly before saying "That's the easy part Stark. What do Wanda and Danvers do best when they are around each other?" He thinks for a moment before saying "fight with each other?" which makes me nod "Exactly! So, all we have to do is allow them to win what they both so desperately want. And to do that we make them have a competition." I state with a grin.
