Ch. 9: Beach Day

Y/N's POV

After arriving in Mexico, everyone decided to get some much-needed rest after the long plane ride to the villa which was definitely nice. The group decided to spend most of the first week exploring Mexico and seeing all that it had to offer. I spent much of the first week as a tour guide for the gang, but I didn't mind all too much since I also love being able to explore Mexico! I took us all to Mexico City which took a whole entire day of driving to get to. And then we spent two days there and got to take in the city and appreciate all that it had to offer like the different shops, foods, and touristy sites. We also drove out to Puerto Vallarta so that we could go snorkeling at the Marietas Islands which everyone really enjoyed!

Then we spent the last day of exploring by spending an entire day surfing at Litibú Beach. Which I personally enjoyed because it was funny to see all the guys falling off of their surfboards. We spent the rest of the week lounging about in the infinity pool, in the cinema room watching movies, in our rooms sleeping, or in the gardens. Our first week was pretty much a success and was extremely chill. However, I did notice that Wanda and Carol have been acting really strange and almost aggressive at times.

For example, just the other day Wanda and I were in the cinema room while everyone else was busy. We had been discussing the movie and she started laughing at something that I had said. I was admiring her for a moment before she looked over at me. We stayed staring at each other for a moment and I swear we were about to kiss when Carol came into the room. This made the both of us back away from each other. Then Carol said something about liking the movie we were watching before sitting in between Wanda and me. It was safe to say that the moment had been ruined and it was extremely awkward. Shortly after that, the girls started going at it again before both of them stormed off.

Then on the day that we went surfing, Carol was having some trouble getting the hang of things. So I went over and spent time trying to help her learn how to surf. We ended up just sitting on the board after a while and talking about different things. At some point she got really close to me which caught me off guard it almost looked like she wanted to kiss me. Then seemingly out of nowhere Wanda accidentally crashed into us and sent us into the water. Wanda apologized to us, well more to me really, and claimed it was an accident. I still don't totally believe it because she was smirking slightly, but Carol was extremely peeved off and quickly got out of the water and stormed off afterward.

And then after we had gotten back to the villa from snorkeling, Wanda was baking cookies in the kitchen. So I decided to join her and eventually tried to help her out. It all started off fine, but we started to goof around. We started to throw batter, flour, eggs, and just anything that we could get our hands on at each other. We eventually stopped when we went tumbling to the floor after Wanda slipped on an egg. I tried to catch her but fell with her instead and ended up just softening the blow by turning us around and switching places with her. We burst out laughing afterward and once we calmed down, we realized just how close we were, and the tension rose.

We both started leaning in and were close to kissing when we suddenly heard footsteps and jumped apart. When we got back up, we looked over only to see Carol and Monica walking into the kitchen. We cleaned up the kitchen and Wanda quickly left right after we finished. I went to chase after her, but Carol stopped me to talk about something, so I didn't get the chance to catch up with Wanda. For whatever reason, whenever I am with either of the girls the other one will "magically" find us and have some reason to interrupt whatever is currently going on. I don't know if they're doing it to get on each other's nerves or what.
